ct_addick, come on mate, be reasonable, McLeod was making his debut at a tough away game two levels above where he played last season. He did not have much of an impact, that is true, but the bloke deserves a hell of a lot more time to find his feet.
I have to say that some of the alarmist stuff on here is just crazy, plain and simple. Sure McCarthy stuffed up on Saturday but I remember seeing Simon Webster and Stuart Balmer both having absolute nightmare starts to their CAFC careers and then going on to be absolute diamonds.
Even a Charlton legend in Bob Bolder dropped an absolute clanger on his debut at Man City in 1986 and yet went on to be our outstanding player for the rest of the season and kept us up on his own.
Why are some people trying to judge a season's success after two games? No doubt they'll be the same ones waving us through as champions if we beat the Owls on Saturday.

I don't think people are, and i think those complaining about 'moaners' are going over the top.
From what i have read, virtually everything has been constructive and fallen into the 'concerned' camp. its only really WIWALB calling the team tossers after just two games that i thought was ridiculous.
We haven't got a league win under our belts yet, and its been a hell of a long while since people saw a league win. A couple of our key signings are showing early signs of not being up to it. I don't think its being negative to say if you have concerns, even if we can all accept that things will naturally improve.
