Most important thing I've gathered from this is he uses both feet equally, and Boro's number 9 is good in the air!
and he gets forward more since he's been at Boro - they've transformed him from the quarter back i saw on yesterdays clips
  • The Neil Heaney late season loan signing of 2025 (hopefully)

What  are the odds it will be 6 weeks before he is fit enough to start.
    50/1

  • This feels like a good signing. Is his tunnel jump any good?
  • I asked my Boro supporting mate for a review of him. This was his reply: "Dunno, mate. I've never heard of him, as he's never played for Stevenage".

    Waste of my time.
Waste of our time as well...😉
  • It's great to see that he is a genuinely two-footed player. Most at this level, have at best a "swinger" as their weaker foot.

I called Chris Rea to find out what his thoughts on him are but he said he was too busy driving to answer at the moment.
Christ, this joke is not only bad, it doesn’t even make sense!
I did write it whilst trying to remember if at first he even supported them and second what was one of his biggest hits.
Anyway I was gonna edit it but I thought why destroy something so beautifully bad... plus you had already quoted it.

  • welcome Alex
  • All the best Alex, you can smash it!!!!!
  • Welcome Alex, best of luck.

Or running a bath for Bob Mortimer.

Your pal's behind the times, Tango, they dropped the Boro bit years ago. Well done on knowing a Stevenage fan though, I didn't think such a thing existed. 😁

Oh, and lol for your quip.
  • In the same way as I can get excited about one of our u18s u21s smashing goals in every week, in reality, they rarely do it when stepping into the men's game. Alex is of course a man at 23, and so should be ready for that. Think Haaland.
  • Not worried about the lack of appearances. Aslong as he is game and can show he is good enough, I'm all for it.

    Good luck Alex!

no, other way round - with a cracked egg in it - lets get the facts straight please

You are right about the egg but it was Chris Rea running a bath for Bob, on his barge on the Thames.
  • Got a good feeling about this one

  • No words from Scott yet?

Technical Director Andy Scott added: "Our focus in this window has been on streamlining the squad to ensure Nathan has players that are going to contribute to the run-in and adding real quality to our team that improves us.

"We’ve been chasing Alex for a while now and we’re really pleased he’s joined us. We believe he has the ability to positively impact the team as he has done a number of times for Middlesbrough in the Championship. He has great quality in the final third, gives us something different in those forward positions and we’re looking forward to watching him in action for Charlton."

“ Chasing Alex for a while” Lol, fuck off Scott

Impact a number of times, hmmmmm

Got to say, the fact that nobody seems to know too much about him is probably a good thing, no unrealistic expectations there then. I will base his signing on the last loan signing from Middlesborough, I think, Alan Kernaghan, if he turns out as well as that fella did then we might have a result.
We had Rhys Williams on loan in 2016 and he was shocking. If this guy is a dud too we should interpret it as a declaration of war by the city (is it a city?) of Middlesbrough.
My mind has now developed a self defence mechanism that forgets or at least tries to forget shit players, it works quite well until people like you se9, throw a curve ball into the mix, you fucker, I was quite happy with Kernaghan !
  • There is something familiar about Gilbert that I just cant put my finger on!!

I traipsed up to Hull when we got battered 6-0 and Rhys Williams had one of Charlton’s all time worst performances so his loan is etched in my memory!

Will reserve judgement until I see him play a few times. Actually going on Saturday so will hopefully see him in the flesh.

Pretty sure the club have given him a shirt for the occasion.
Yes, but golfie’s expecting him to wave his shirt around his head to celebrate his hat-trick. I can tell that this Saturday will be another when I have to console him after another bout of his habitual blind optimism.
