  • Free kick headed on to Edwards, but Rovers clear.

How was that innocuous tap on the guys shoulder a free kick and the TC shove in the box not...this is so incosisstent...
Because of the "we'd end up with 10-penalties per game" type excuse

Players would quickly learn to stop doing it though

Because it was in the box and the referee scared to give a penalty  :)
  • Ref gives them a free kick near the centre circle, not entirely sure for what.
  • Now TC gets taken out near our dugout, Gillesphey to take the free kick.
  • Small!!
  • Ooo lovely connection from Small, straight at the 'keeper though
  • Free kick floated in, headed out but not far, Small flicks the ball over his man's head and has a shot but the keeper saves easily.

    Exactly Ross...

Attempt saved. Thierry Small (Charlton Athletic) right footed shot from the right side of the box is saved in the top right corner. Assisted by Josh Edwards with a headed pass.

  • We send the ball forward for TC and Godden to chase, and their keeper has to come a long way out to hoof clear

  • This has basically been Saturday but with two early goals. Pretty much all Charlton, probably more chances today than the weekend but game state helps that too.  55'
  • HT.

Best opening 45 mins that I've seen in a long time. Purposeful & not slow in getting the ball into the box.

Only downside is teams above us all winning, apart from Reading. Getting into the top 6 is going to be difficult.
    Believe my friend.  Believe.

    We can do this.
  • Bah. Small has fun show boating, pass to TC and back to Coventry, but he overhits the cross and it balloons out for a goal kick
  • More Rovers subs
  • Comeback is on for Exeter

  • Would prefer 3 at the back, and an extra player in midfield.

Was getting a little overrun in midfield
We are playing 3 at the back, Ramsay is the right sided CB but covers RB as Small is so attacking. Mitchell’s done the same in previous games but obviously not a natural RB.
  • Triple sub from Rovers, we've got 'em rattled...

  • signs of panic from Brizzle there
  • Nice interchange of passes for us on the right, TC gets sandwiched but doesn't get anything, but we havea throw near the tunnel

Substitution, Bristol Rovers. Gatlin O'Donkor replaces Scott Sinclair.

Substitution, Bristol Rovers. Romaine Sawyers replaces Jamie Lindsay.

Substitution, Bristol Rovers. Isaac Hutchinson replaces Grant Ward.

  • Exeter making a fist of things.....

    Exeter 2  Orient 4
  • Good old 70's songs ringing out...🙄
  • That gets cleared and Rovers nearly have a counter attack but we deal with it fairly well.
  • We're starting to coast a bit here. Game far from over
  • Rovers come forward but Ramsay clears, and then Berry wins a free kick midway in our half
  • TC gets fouled a lot but they don’t get given, think in part down to how much he’s bulked up
  • Roves come forward but Gillesphey muscles his man off the ball.
