Excellent first half from us. I just hope that we don't change things and come out with the attitude of "we keep what we've got" because that will just invite them to come at us. They are a side bereft of confidence on the road (lost 10 out of 14) and there is no reason to allow them back in the game.
Feels like a combination of Jones having stumbled into a formula that works with the squad - Whilst the players themselves are beginning to learn what's expected from them, especially with the pressing we were putting them under between the goals.
Very good half. Were awful for the first 8ish minutes and then started running at them and realised they were terrified. We've been pressing aggressively and winning absolutely every second ball. TC and Small are scaring them with pace, Godden and Berry are ghosting onto every loose ball, we're winning every header and Rovers spent a lot of that half looking shellshocked by how assertive we were in their half. I do feel like in the last five they started to calm down a bit and weren't quite as easy to bully into giving up the ball. It really should be at least 3-0 off that level of dominance. An early goal in the second half for us should kill the contest but they surely won't come out second half so easily spooked by the press and we can't expect the same half again. Work for the clean sheet and kill them off.
I know Leaburn has scored a few recently, but Godden's movement shows what a lot of younger strikers are really missing from their game, the nous to be in the right place at the right time and read and react to the play quicker than the defenders.
Reading, Wrexham and Wycombe arent though... If the latter two teams keep this up, then you never know what might happen... P2 is now suddenly only 12-pts out of reach with a game in hand.

Best opening 45 mins that I've seen in a long time. Purposeful & not slow in getting the ball into the box.
Only downside is teams above us all winning, apart from Reading. Getting into the top 6 is going to be difficult.
I must say that the ref has been the best so far this season by a country mile.
[For the record, I hope the team aren't thinking this, but as a fan it's bloody great]
As you were Charlton, keep it up 👍🏻
