  • Excellent result. That’s the Leaburn I’ve been waiting to see, hopefully he can keep it going.  Nervy last 10 minutes. It looked like a couple of players lost their composure, especially Small, and were just giving the ball away rather than maintaining possession, but he had a really good game up to then, and he is still young.

Let’s hope they can keep this up at Crawley.
  • Only caught the second half but looked like solid performances from all, though I thought AMB could have done better with their goal. Wycombe really didn't look like scoring in the second half at least and we could have had a couple more.

Some odd decisions from the ref towards the end of the game, especially the Lloyd Jones "foul". I was impressed with how we kept the press going right til the end of the game.

We have good fixtures coming up - let's keep the momentum up and we really could find ourselves in the play-offs, which seemed improbable a couple of weeks ago.
  • Terrific patient team performance and two great goals by leaburn. How some people want him to leave is beyond me.

Can't remember the last time we won two home games back to back. And typical couldn't make either due to transport and work commitments but managed to watch on a stream.

    Keep it going 7th now.
V Orient and Bolton in August.

  • Great result we look soooo much better playing with pace up top
  • I thought that was a decent performance against a good league 1 side. You cant see why they are onthe top 3. But we kept them at bay well in the first half and the goal was well deserved.
We started the second half just as well and that2nd goal was top notch.
But then the subs. They had better quality on the bench than us. That ment they dominated the last twenty mins so we'll done to the back 4 conceding one goal was a good show.
Over  all an 8 of 10 for that

Probably a slightly false position, but who’d have thought we’d be this close to the playoffs after we lost to Crawley.
Much improved over the last six games, helped by they return of Jones, but on top of the improved results were also starting to play a bit of football, with Docherty getting more involved, and with Miles and Tupac looking much more of a threat. If only the latter had headed the ball over the advancing keeper we wouldn’t have had such a nail biting finale!

72 points to play for - 14 points catch-up is not impossible.

    Nurse! NURSE!
Haha you don’t need the nurse Bob ! It is very possible that we can make those points up imo. We just need to stop dropping points against teams we should beat. We all thought this squad was good enough that’s why there was the meltdown watching the hoofball. Stockport will drop off now I think and I can’t see Wrexham maintaining their form all season
  • It's taken 3 months, but after the bright August and erratic autumn, we finally have a way of playing that suits our players and is getting results.

3 wins in 9 days and now we're looking upwards, and incidentally become a much more attractive proposition in the January window.

I thought NJ should have rotated more, but am happy to acknowledge that keeping a consistent team has worked. I still would question the bench a bit, Kanu would have been the perfect sub today.

Another very solid defensive display, and two bits of quality from Miles. Unnecessarily edgy at the end, when we needed to keep the ball better, but it's a young team.

  • Play offs are a poss but I reckon 14 wins out of 24 will be needed.

However another 10 points should see us safe🤣
  • Jones and Mitchell immense in a very solid defence,  everyone pressed well, work rate exceptional. More chances created by us.  A thoroughly deserved win.

I assume their number 17 was told to do a job on Leaburn, judging from the treatment he meted out.  Glad he ended with a minus two score.
  • January will still be massively key as we don’t have great sub options to impact a game at the minute. A wide player & an attacking midfielder would be very handy
  • In the match thread I suggested it could be a season defining result. That win has us very much looking up, rather than down. The capability is there to push into the play off places, and if they maintain that level of performance that will happen.
  • Well I for one got no enjoyment out of that performance whatsoev....

    😉

We battled to a stalemate in the first half but had the best chance in Berry's shot, then in the second half we came out the traps absolutely racing, and 2 very different but both fantastic goals from Miles Leeeeeaaaaaabbbbbbuuuuuuuurrrrrnnnnnnn put us into an unlikely but deserved 2 nil lead. A late surge from them and a decent turn and shot got them a goal back, but despite their (and the refs) best efforts late on they couldn't break us down, coupled with some great high pressing and harrying even late in the second half, we stood relatively firm and got the win. 5 unbeaten, 3 wins on the spin, a settled side and suddenly we have an outside chance of the playoffs
  • I hate Wycombe so was extra pleased with the result. Their home strip looks like a rugby kit and they favour the dark arts. Fair play to the lads they made them look ordinary not a top 2 team on a ridiculous unbeaten run
