Close! TC dinks into the box, looks like hes about to lose it but pings a shot off deflected just wide.

Our entire game plan appears to be passing sideways until the opposition are bored to death, then punt it nowhere in particular
Someone’s found an old copy of Karl Robinson’s coaching manual.

Harsh, we have been the better team by a mile

Still haven’t feeling that a proper creative attacking midfielder, probably replacing Alan Campbell, would make a huge difference to this team, but the shape does seem to be, finally, allowing us to build some attacking patterns of play and create chances. A Scott Fraser but with some stamina and work rate is what we need in January.
Agreed, Campbell is not an attacking Midfielder he's just a hard worker. Karoy is decently creative but I think he'd work better with a more creative type.

    Berry on the bench
Berry is probably more comfortable playing in the position than A Campbell, but he hasn’t shown much creativity yet. But yes, essentially we need Anderson ther do all the running a little bit of creating, and some next to him do a little bit of the running but a lot of the creating. Appleton (or was it Holden) experimented with TC as a 10 a couple of times - I seem to remember it was ok once and not so good the other time but the baffling thing about that one was it pushed Leaburn wide. I wonder if it might be something we could try again but this time to make room for Leaburn on a front two next to Godden.
Dixon has to get a chance,  him and Leaburn would work I reckon
With this club we'd end up subbing on Steve Dixon and Tracy Leaburn.

    game of two halves
  • Who cares Brownie, it's our corner, and time we got a bit of a dodgy decision
  • Replay if Ramsay injury doesn’t look good, cruciate is my guess.

I'd make a change at halftime. A.Campbell has done absolutely nothing of note. Leaburn, Dixon or Berry on for him please

  • Can anyone explain why no yellows have been shown to Stockport for timewasting?

    Piss taking.
  • Asking a lot of Dixon to chuck him on like a desperate throw in a relegation fight. Let's save him for later.
  • Anderson really struggling today, seems to be a reoccurring theme when he comes back from internationals.

gilsephey looking really weak and a liability

    Their guy is refereeing

There are a few candidates who haven't troubled the memory banks with their contribution so far today.

And yet how often have we properly tested them? The one soft shot from TC and the header from Anderson?

"By a mile" is a massive reach

I don’t think getting Leaburn out there to add some height for set pieces, plus a bit more invention on the ball, would be the worst idea in the world.

Missed the first 10 but we’ve been the better side. Godden a passenger, get Miles on quickly after HT for me

It’s frustrating enough watching us lose this and Stockport time wasting without Brown constantly complementing Stockport and the ref

TC had a shot deflected narrowly wide, and there was that Taylor assist that somehow went over the bar instead of finding a Charlton player.

I'd bring on Berry and Leaburn for Campbell and TC at HT
  • Leaburn has surely surely now got 45 mins in him. Been in full training for nearly two months. Played over an hour for the reserves.

Taylors deliveries are made for him
