I am going to say it!! Yes I am, Nathan Jones......................

Out!!!! yes I said it and I don't care. Shit negative football, making 4-6 changes every game tell us he is desperate and has no clue. Dropping decent players who have played well for no reason.  Horrible little manager with no clue whatsoever. How have we come into the season with no attacking midfielders and no wingers.  We have been lucky against Wigan, Orient and Shrewsbury all 3 of those games we were awful but got the points we all got excited and thought we were winning ugly and it will only be a matter of time before we start playing well. Well we can all see that is not going to happen. There is no point having a midfield if we are going to just lump it past them to probably one of the worst strikers ever to wear the clubs colours. To make things worse that same shit striker is playing alongside Campbell who was not good enough last season on the wing and should have been sold, but because he has a half decent pre season we have kept him.

Justt a guess but don't think the players like Jones, and think he has pissed a lot of them off already with his shit negative football and stupid demands. To drop Mitchell was just crazy. Then to bring Anderson straight into the team after one of the worst performences ever at Cambridge is remarkable. Today he drops Kane who has been one of the if not best players this season for Watson another weird decision.

I know I am going to get laughed at about who do we bring in and we need to give him time we cant keep doing this, I dont care anymore, every season we get worse and every season we give these shit managers far too long. Yes it begins from the top they are also a pile of shit. But this bloke has all the signs of the wrongun and think we need act now before its too late.

  • Too early but Jones needs to make serious adjustments.

His plan A has been found out and has failed. He needs to change it up.
Are you saying there was a plan?
  • Six league games lost after 25 in charge.

I really can’t get behind any calls to sack another manager when he stopped the bleeding post Holden & Appleton.

If this losing run continues much longer maybe there’s a conversation to have approaching Christmas.
We were 3-0 down to the team with the worst Xg/Xa.
  • It also wont be long before the crowd gets toxic, Ahadme will be the first one to get boos if he starts on Saturday or if he comes on. I can see it now.

They had crap stats tonight as well, it’s not as if they created much and deserved to have scored three times.

It’s a “when it rains it pours” situation right now. We could with a team not putting two in the top corner from outside the area when we’re trying to break a losing run.

  • We really needed to win tonight to make Birmingham a free hit. Another poor performance on Saturday and it’s going to start getting really toxic.
  • Another manager, another ridiculous long contract and another huge pay out when it ultimately ends in failure. And then repeat..

That was only the fourth time this L1 season where a team has managed to score twice from outside the area. There’s been 102 matches played. 1 in 25.5. Once every couple of weeks it happens. It happened tonight.

We have problems AND we were very unlucky at the same time to make for an especially shit evening all around.
But that's because we gave then acres of space on the edge of the box. These weren't 30-yard worldies, they were simply well placed shots from the edge of the box under no pressure. That's calamitous defending, and the hard-to-breakdown, no easy goals thing that Jones had going (and was his only real selling point this season) us clearly gone.
Berry was about as tight as you’d ask a midfielder to be on the edge of the box. Sinclair got the shot off and went top corner anyway.

Anderson was a marginally out of position but threw his body at the shot to get in the way. Lindsay’s shot went in the top corner anyway.

Everyone is talking as if we rolled out the red carpet for them on both occasions. We didn’t do anything close to that and sometimes the shot just flies in the net anyway despite your best effort.

Our closing down certainly wasn’t any worse than you’ll see from Bristol Rovers or other sides at our level.

  • Too early. We’ve had so many changes. But, he needs to learn from all this. Stop being so negative and start to actually play some attractive football. I know we’ve all wanted clean sheets but not like this. It’s like an obsession he has and it has totally affected how he has got us playing. Way too negative and it’s starting to work against us now. Teams have found us out by the high press. We can’t handle that.

I mean they only had 0.56 xG so about in keeping with what they manage every other game but yeah, you got me!

Why did they score 3 times from 0.56 xG against us and not anybody else??? Because we’re Charlton and we’re cursed.
It's because the only stat that matters is scoring more than opposition and winning the game.
  • Other than Luton he has shat the bed with every other club he has managed.

he is a modern day Mike Walker who can only do well in one place.
  • I feel sorry for a defence that has the ball coming back to them all the time - because there is nothing up front!  Ahadme cannot start on Saturday (I don't think he could see the ball through that mask...) and we have to use Miles and Chuks for the 90, with Godden starting alongside whoever is on the pitch. We must also start a winger, and as we only have one, that's TC (Rylah is too weak and Dixon too raw to start).  Then the two centre midfielders (Docherty back please!) can sit, and the wingbacks (please not 10eye!) bomb on.

Players like Ahadme, Berry, Campbell (A), Watson, and Edun should not be starting, or arguably even on the bench!

Ultimately we have to stick with Jones, as another managerial change will just cost too much.

Appleton stopped the bleeding post Holden, Holden post Garner was it?  I loose track we change so often for only short term benefit. This time last season we were doing well under Apples but it all went pear shaped. Fortunes can change quickly and we need to be patient with Jones.

He's not lost a dressing room of players who've come here having worked under him before. They're still finding their feet as a team this season, and having lost confidence now that becomes harder, but Jones blamed himself for last night and I trust in him to learn from it and sort it out.

Inconsistency is to be expected when you have a constant churn of average L1 players, which I'm afraid is where we're at for the foreseeable.
  • I think sacking him already is very knee jerky - we need stability, another manager comes in, then he will want his own players, own tactics - it all takes time to build again.

If in a months time we haven’t improved then you can start looking at replacements before the January window.
