People talk about Jones having an ego, but quite like the line where he talks about Matty Godden and the fact that he's so good with his movement... and is something that he's honest enough to admit that he couldn't teach another player how to do that.
If Danny is open to hanging up the boots surely get him on the coaching team full time?
Points from the article: -Nathan Jones has not ruled out Danny Hylton joining his Charlton Athletic coaching staff. -“That’s up to Danny,” Jones told the South London Press when asked if he wanted the former Northampton and Luton striker to join his coaching set-up. -“If Tyreece Campbell, Dan Kanu and Miles Leaburn are to fulfil their full potential, people such as Matty Godden, Danny Hylton and Chuks Aneke are vital to that development" -“He’s better at it than me. It’s important to have these people in and around the football club. Danny Hylton is a positive influence on absolutely everyone at the club".
Would keep Hylton as he's potentially offering something more than just playing
He now has his UEFA A License, so wouldn't mind that. Again this is what I have been saying about Danny Hylton all along. Yes he is our worst forward, but I would be concerned (as a fan) if our best forward was a player/coach.

When did he get his A license? His LinkedIn headline suggests he’s still studying towards it.

Read it (the linkedin post) wrong he says Block 4 complete. Don't know how many blocks there are in total (someone feel free to elaborate). However if we are just going by his linkedin headline then he is also Luton Town FC's Academy coach(unless he has been hired as their academy team coach then good luck to him).
You have an update on his contract? Otherwise I am just guess he is training with the team, coaching (needing to complete whatever blocks he has left on his A Licence) then (if nobody has picked him up) register him for the Northampton game simply to come on score a goal (greets them in the Jimmy Steed after do so) and then I guess he is there for work experience.
Doubt he will sign right now. Imagine he will stay on as a coach and train with the squad. That way if Chuks/Miles go down injured for a few months and Gassan isn't back then we still have the option of a short term contract.
Assuming he doesn't get a playing offer elsewhere in the meantime
What’s he done to be a first team player any more than the likes of Enslin and Laqeretabua? Casey and Mbick are regular goalscorers when fit and playing for the u21s too.

I entirely agree but I didn’t stick him on the OS First Team Page.

We have six forwards, so what we need another forward.
As soon as he posts we get someone in or someone will go out on loan.
