  • Old fashioned dirty bastard of a player who shook it up a bit.

Do I want him anywhere near the squad again? No, but he did what he does.
What? He was useless and the only thing he did was get booked
Got booked because he's an old fashioned dirty bastard who left his boot in on purpose.

Was also happy to wave his elbows around and wind up their players.

I'm not saying he was good but he came on to shake it up.
Is this what we are excited about now ?

Fair enough but last thing we needed was giving them free kicks which they would take ages to take

Slow, no touch, can't turn, no value
    Still offered more than Ahadme!

cant understand why he is ahead of Mbick, he surely cant be worse, makes no sense, people said he will never get minutes and is purely for coaching purposes, but here we are. He is taking potential minutes away from a youngster
I kind of see your point. I reckon mbick will start or at least get minutes on Tuesday. Playing him
in front of a big crowd when we are chasing a game might not be good for his development. Especially when our next two games lower key cup games

I would like to think that Hylton was only used yesterday due to his experience. With gas and chucks back soon, hopefully that’s the end of the  hylton experience

Mbick is said to be injured.
Dixon then. My thinking is that against quite a big physical team Jones wanted Hylton as an option rather than Dixon.

Hylton looked unfit, and him coming on meant that Godden ended up playing on the wing, so I think Dixon would definitely have been the better choice
As a big target man getting on the end of long balls for 15 mins? Unfortunately, without chucks and gas available, hylton was the best option for the circumstances.

I reckon dixon will start and be on the bench for the next two games.

hylton was a horses for courses selection and I can see why. As above, I’m hoping that’s the end of him now.

But why is that the only plan ?
  • Wonder if his appearance will make the cut, on Welcome to Wrexham?

He was shit, looked like a testimonial game for him.  Even worse was we had him on the bench instead of more pace which Wrexham couldn’t handle.  Least jones got to do his mate a favour though
    This.

Would have been better to have Dixon on the bench & bring him in with 10 mins to go. Much better option & do you know what.....pace frightens defenders - especially tiring ones.
Would rather have seen Casey or Mbick, surely they offer more

Did he actually do any of that successfully though? And as I said it meant shifting Godden out to the wing.

Hylton held the ball up once or twice but nothing Godden wouldn’t have been able to do, and we could have then had Dixon out wide instead of Godden. Even with what we had on the bench Thierry Small would have been a better sub
  • Thought the match passed him by, looked like yesterdays man.

Regardless of his performance, which I didn't see so won't comment on, it's the messaging of resorting to fielding him that concerns me, within the Club and amongst our rivals.
  • I thinkhe did ok
  • Surely he only played because Wrexham are a physical team and 3 strikers that are ahead of him in the pecking order are injured (and possibly some of the under 21s as well)? Doubt we'll be seeing much of him when normal service is resumed.
Kanu is injured , sure .  Aneke will never be fit enough to be useful and Ahadme is appalling .  Even then, I’d rather throw Alex Mitchell up front if we really only can lump it up as an option if we are chasing a goal.  The Hylton guy has scored 4 goals since 2019.
  • We might as well pick a random bloke out the crowd instead of giving this bloke any minutes. He is worse than useless. If we signed someone with his recent record under Roland or Sandgaard people would have gone apeshit.
  • In fairness after Godden’s pen hit the back of the net Hylton’s follow up was only 20 yards over the bar onto the roof . He’s getting there.

  • He really wasn't as bad as people are making out. Do I want him to play? No. But he did fine.
I know you don’t want him to play but it’s utterly embarrassing that he is .
  • He will now count as a first team player for the Bristol street Motors games.

Fair play to him, put himself about a bit and gave us a good laugh tonight. Nearly scored from a corner too

And did the assist for T Campbell goal.
  • Cult hero and next Charlton manager
  • Played well when he came on tonight . The opposite to Saturday
