  • Wonder if Wanxham will be tempted by Dele and Livermore, suits their image, 2 former big names more past it than not on a free.
Deli Ali was on £100k a week at Everton.
While he must accept a drop in wages he is  well out of Wrexhams reach.
  • Please don't let the other one be Freddie "killer" Loadapoo.
    Corrected

Posting the updated squad list always forces the club to make a signing or two. They can’t stand something unofficial being so up to date and accurate
    👊 💥

Now who’s the other signing and when will it be announced?

Cawley confirms the other is Hylton.

    That's extremely underwhelming

Mind you, who were we really expecting!!

    A keeper, tbh.

Not that worried we've not signed one woth Mannion being decent so far, but it's the one area we wanted someone during the transfer window and didn't manage to sign one, so was expecting that.

    Maybe we ain't finished yet...🤞🤞

We're short of goals, and then sign a 35 years old who's scored 4 in 5 years.  Jury very much out on that one.

He's only scored about that many goals at this level in his whole career.

Don’t get what Hylton’s going to add, barely played for Northampton last season in this league and didn’t score many for them the season before in L2.

Sure Jones will want leaders and good older pros, but we’re not short in that area with Campbell and Potts recently joining Docherty, Lloyd Jones, Gillesphey etc.
We have so many strikers, Kanu’s probably going to struggle to make the bench. We also have 2 young guys scoring plenty for the 21s that are probably miles better than Hylton.  What a pointless signing
  • A very odd and very disappointing signing, there are players out there unattached who would genuinely improve us. Hylton goes against what Jones was saying about those coming in being Categorically better than what we have already
  • Short term Leaburn and Chuks cover I guess. Maybe he can help Ahadme's game too.

Plus he's either hanging around not playing, or he's in the way of Kanu (for example) getting minutes.

  • He been with us all pre season so no surprise .. coaching as well , it’s just cover for Leaburn and may mean Kanu goes out on loan

Wonder if Kanu will head back to Southend.

Hylton I dont really expect to see unless its in the EFL Trophy.

I suspect it'll be another deal to January and for the reason you suggest. He provides some insurance if Leaburn's reintegration into the team doesn't go as smoothly as we all hope (which is always a possibility after such a long injury) and/or if Chuks suffers an injury.

It is pretty underwhelming, but at the same time any out of contract signing between transfer windows is likely to be a bit m'eh. Anyone exciting will have found a club in the summer. Hopefully he'll be a positive influence in the dressing room who we won't actually have to play much because better players are fit and firing.

Messi or Bellingham, don't you read my accurate, insightful and informed posts on here?  Don't know why I bother!
  • Marcus Browne would fit.
    But wouldn't be fit
