When there are 5 empty benches in the gym changing room and someone comes and plonks down all their stuff right next to you. Why?!
I once sat down in an empty train compartment. The next guy that got on, with the choice of any other seat decided to sit down next to me. I huffed and puffed so much that we exchanged words (nothing offensive) and he moved. By the time the train left it was rammed (as the guy had predicted). I didn't have a problem with someone sitting next to me, I just thought it was weird to do that in an otherwise empty train, to the point that it really annoyed me. As it turned out I ended up feeling a bit ashamed that I had made an issue of it.
Once again people who let their dogs off the leash and have absolutely no control over the dog.
Had to have another set too with some stupid woman this morning. This on top of the fact that our little town has a rule that all dogs must be kept on a leash within the town limits.

I think I had reached an age where on reflection it seemed a trivial thing to make an issue of. As to his reason, who knows. He just kept saying the train will fill up anyway. Having said all that, I think it would still annoy me if it happened again
Best way to prevent that is to pat the seat next to you, whilst smiling broadly and beckoning him towards you with a finger on the other hand- always works.

in theory it's the correct thing to do. if you know for sure that the train will fill and you're on your own then you should sit next to someone else who is on their own to allow people travelling in pairs to sit together
however, screw the theory. in the real world it's just weird

You get listening benches in parks these days to encourage those who'd rather engage in conversation than spend all their time on social media. Easier to get up and walk off than when in the confined space of a train compartment though!

Trying to fix simple hardware issues with a PC, you finally manage to resolve those problems but end up creating more issues because you forget to plug other devices back in!!

There's been other years that have been a real travesty as they just wanted to give it to Messi - Lewandowski in 2021, and you could argue Haaland last year, maybe even Van Dijk in 2019.
But it was a year without any massive standouts and Rodri is a fantastic player who was the most important player for City who won the league, and won the Euros with Spain.
The ego on Vinicius Jr, and the entitlement of Real is crazy to have the whole club now show up just because he didn't win.
Crisps. Bought a bag of McCoy's which were once advertised as man crisps due to the amount you get. Now it's a pitiful amount. Much like men in this day and age.

I agree, the Sun, Mail and Express have been annoying me for years and now it is far worse with the rise of social media and wacko websites. But you are still left with the same problem, who to believe. Whoever or wherever you get your info from you may choose to believe its not correct or not fitting your opinions. You could start with the bits you want to believe and then try to find source that fits. Or you could just read or listen to the BBC because its as close to the truth most of us need or want most of the time and when its not or may have slight bias its probably unintentional.

Love watching some amazingly gifted artists do their work and see how the paintings emerge - but the judges so often let it down by favouring what to most people (I suspect) would be the least impressive work.
Painting doesn't look anything like the sitter - no worries, the artist captured their "persona".

I went to watch the Portrait Artist of the year this year and it was like watching paint dry. I left after an 45 minutes and went to the pie n mash shop in lavender hill then a few pints in the nearby pub which was more interesting 🧐 shame really as I enjoy watching it on the telly.
