  • He was a divisive player.  Some of his teammates loved him others didn’t like how he handled the conflict that he had with Bowyer when he had to be quarantined for Covid that December.  Maybe that eventually became water under the bridge after time but there definitely was some tension those couple of years.
  • Could have been a decent option but dont think the guy ever really wanted to be here, looked miserable as fck and if he was in need of a move back up to Scotland then fair enough really.

  • A player of limited ability and didn't bring much to the team when I saw him play. Missed a few sitters also. Good luck as he moves along to the end of his career.
  • He was superb against Birmingham in the league  giving a Kinsella/Cullen type performance but didn’t seem to reproduce that, though TBF everyone dropped off somewhat after that and it’s only been, imo, the consistency of the team selection over the past two months that’s put everyone back on track, but of course he hasn’t had a chance to benefit from that.
  • I wonder if he will do better there than Scott Fraser who has so far made a few bit part appearances in first 3 games of the season, got I jured and then hasn't got back in the team since!
    He's at the other one
  • I don’t understand the vitriol towards him.  He wasn’t good but he hardly played so had very little impact on our lack of success this season.  Probably doesn’t help that Jones played a defensive midfielder in an attacking midfielder position.  It is weird that we hate with a passion every player who isn’t good for us.  It seems like he was well regarded by the coaching staff and teammates just didn’t live up to expectations.  It is not like he was disliked by his fellow teammates like Marcus Maddison or Albie. I am glad he is moving on but our fan reactions are a little over the top weird.
    Albie was disliked?
  • "There's only one Alan Campbell."

It didn't work out and this Alan Campbell seems to run around like a headless chicken.

We all expected so much more but like the majority of midfielders that have showed up on loan or permanent over the last decade he have fallen short.
  • Thank f*ck for that. Happy Friday!

  • Never worked out. Good luck to him.
  • Just another name to add to the list of forgettable midfield loans of recent seasons. Bar the Birmingham game I was never quite sure exactly what he was supposed to bring to the side.

Good luck to him back north of the border , it just didn't work out.
  • Pretty disastrous, but wasn’t comfortable with some of the OTT abuse he got during games.

    Wish him well,

Bit concerned Jones made a point of saying he didn’t want to lose him.
    just player PR, a k a bullshit
  • No great loss in my opinion.

Allan Campbell doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Alan Campbell in my opinion.

However I hoped when he arrived that as a 'Championship player' he might make a similar type of contribution but wasn't to be unfortunately.

    Yet another dud.
  • I said 5/6 out, so got that bit right but I also said 1/2 in, still time

Wasn't overwhelmed by the signing in the first place gjven a poor Millwall experience,  and he failed to live up to very modest expectations.

Would honestly rather REG filled in there, or one of the kids for fresh legs in the last 10 minutes
  • 26 years  old, plays like a 36 year + old

I hadn't realised that he had only signed until the end of the season, which despite the hyperbole in that article, hardly a massive commitment on either side.

Their writer deserves a pay rise, reading that article you'd think they had signed prime Zidane.

Disagree here, doesnt deserve hate as he was clearly trying, but he looked like he had won competition to play for a professional club and I can't point to a single thing he has done well since the Birmingham game
