I remember earlier in the season when he said Kanu was the best at closing down he had seen in his career! Godden's a great pro and the urgency when he took that quick throw after we went 1-1 showed we went for the Jugular and got our reward when Matt couldn't get out the way of the Orient keeper for the winner😁
With respect, if you are struggling to hear the interview it is worth getting your ears tested. It is easy to lose hearing without realising and you might be missing out on lots of stuff! That interview is well mixed and the audio levels are good.

Pardon?
It was a genuine piece of advice. Apologies to @Redhenry if it didn't come across that way. Our ears are really sensitive and it's possible to lose a lot of your hearing without having any idea at all, it can be totally random. I used to work editing audio and around a lot of loud noises so always got my hearing tested regularly. It's genuinely quite interesting and something we should all do more. We all know about getting our eyes tested but most people won't get their ears tested until there's a problem, ears are important!
If you're in your seat early enough tonight..... towards the end of the warm-up session..... when they're doing shooting practice in the temp goal in the NW corner........ watch how Matty shoots compared to the others..... the ball just flies...

Nicky Bailey was always my favourite to watch do the shooting drill. Not sure I saw him hit the target in 2 seasons!

Nw @fenaddick I've had a lot worse. I just found the background music unnecessary
MG's performance on Saturday surely cements him as Player Of The Season. He had 3 decent chances and slotted two - the spin and shot for the first was exceptional - he's the only player in the squad capable of that with any reliability. His anticipation for the 2nd made the goal simple - only the talented and attentive are in the right place at the right time as often as he. Service to him wasn't great - something he's shouldered all season - but it was stark how much more more threatening we were throughout the game compared to the recent games he hasn't started. He ain't tall - 9 inches shorter than Miles for example - yet he's always in the mix for the hopeful high balls. He ain't especially quick but he's always right there pressing from the front, opposition defenders must hate the sight of him. He's generous in his praise for his colleagues too and not just in that dead-eyed, media-trained 'humbleness' they're all coached to use. Arguments can be made for others, one or two have shone more brightly for moments but, Coventry apart, he's delivered the most, most consistently in his role

You mention his lack of pace, but as his 2nd goal against Wigan showed, his first 5 yards are in his head...

(Joke, let's not start this again)
Interview after today's game and his two goals.
"Thank you Godden?" - bit rude!?
