I don’t get it. It’s not like having a blockbuster v another film at the cinema. Some, including myself, might be put off by the big budget film. How does that work with football?
“It is unlikely that the football authorities would pursue cases against individuals who watch games in this manner, with the more desirable avenue to bring claims directly against the file sharing sites through the ISPs. Indeed, in 2014, the Court of Justice of the European Union ruled that internet users who watch copyrighted material online aren’t breaking the law by doing so.”
This is about pirate streams, but in this case the copyright holder is knowingly colluding in making the material available in the UK. So good luck to anyone prosecuting that!3 -

Indeed I can honestly say that last season the club and "the EFL in general" made money from me as a result of using a VPN and buying £10 passes, as I still had an expensive Zone A season ticket, and only watched away games on streaming that I wouldn't have gone to anyway.4 -

Charlton’s Boxing Day fixture at home to Cambridge United has been selected to appear on Sky Sports Football, but will keep the same kick-off time of 3pm GMT.

That confirms that the only Charlton games to be moved for TV / streaming before the start of 2025 are

Orient (H) 12:30, 17/8
Lincoln (A) 12:30, 7/12

28th December is a Saturday & the 29th December is a Sunday. Assume they will amend that typo on the article very shortly.0 -

Showing both the 26th and the 29th, clearly Sky are just setting up the rig in the car park over Christmas and can't be arsed to go anywhere else. Will probably hit the attendance on those days too as there will be no excuse to leave the MILs for the football as you can "watch it in the spare room"2

So 7 out of 13 home games are 3pm on a Saturday (if international weekends matches are cancelled for us )0

I have Virgin TV with a subscription to Sky sports HD ( for the football and F1) I have gone through the sky programmes and seem not to have Sky sports+.( at least it is not listed) only had this since last September, I assume I will have to do a system update?..... or will this be done automatically?.
Appreciate any links or advice
I hope to attend some home games, and take the grandkids down to the Valley (who have shown an interest). I have not attended evening games, due to the nonsense of the M20, amongst other considerations as I live on the coast and being north of 70 years of age, not confident to drive on narrow country roads late at night.

Mind you the upgrade didn’t work & an engineer came today and replaced my V6 boxes.
