Yeah I was a bit surprised to see his name mentioned as I would be a bit surprised if we filled out our quota of loans this season , everything NJ has said sounds more like he wants permanent signings he can really build around.
I think the point is it wouldn’t be a loan… does that change your opinion on him as an option
Sorry Callum for getting the wrong end of the stick! If he's a permanent target then I think that definitely changes things for me. Would be more than happy with that as the 4th/5th senior option. Think NJ could get more out of him than Wycombe did.
I can see why the initial thought would be a loan - there was a lot of buzz around him two years or so ago. The impression I get from Forest people is that they don’t see him making an impact in the Premier League and they’re ready to move on.
Definitely there was a buzz around him at Forest and when he went to Burton for the second half of 22/23 but he just hasn't kicked on. If the fee isn't too ridiculous then I'm all for taking the chance on him.

I'd like Cadden, Edun looks out of sorts, and there's a bit of uncertainty around Small. Cadden is a dead ball specialist and we don't even have one decent set piece taker imho.

Didn’t Barnsley lose a few key players this time last year too and lots of posts thought they’d blown their chances of top six ? Perhaps they’ve got something up their sleeve this summer too.
Not a rumour but I think Dejuane Brown will make an impact at L1/L2 level - young striker who made a big impact at Gateshead on loan from Derby this season. 10 goals in 22 appearances and VNL Player of the Month in March.
I seem to remember Cole missing a couple of chances when we beat them 2-1 at The Valley, and the fans just found a scapegoat to blame the result on, truth is the game was closer than the score gives, and could have gone any way...

Who said we are being linked with them.? From what I've read it simply posters saying who had been released by clubs and others saying...."mmm, looked good when he played against us".

I’d agree with having both small and cadden. If you’re going with the 352 the wing backs are vital.
I think there is a possibility we've got used to the club being very leaky and that might reduce under NJ, he seems to play cards very close to his chest and I wouldn't want to piss him off!
