6 of Ahadme’s 11 goals last season came from headers.
Charlton scored 7 headed goals throughout the entire season.
For anyone curious, those seven:
Kanu v Port Vale (H) Aneke v Reading (H) McGrandles v Portsmouth (A) C. Campbell v Cambridge (H) Jones v Burton (H) May v Peterborough (H) Aneke v Wigan (H)
Isn't it a Jamaican from the Mount Pleasant partnership that we're close to signing as well, going by the comments from the owners? - I thought that was the one Swisdom was raving about?
If the option is Joe Lumley or to wait id rather wait. Have a good mate who's a Boro fan so saw them play a couple of times when he was there and was dogshit in the couple of games I saw, but he did go on to receive Reading player of the year the season after so shows how much I know!
To me that sounds like they’ve run out of the initial targets they agreed they’d be happy with (at this stage) and waiting until someone better becomes available later in the window.
Maybe a Jed Steer / Declan Rudd type loan late in the window?
Is it really worrying? We currently have three goalkeepers and whilst an upgrade would be most welcome, there really isn’t any urgency. Plenty of good goalkeepers will also become available for loans etc as squads get finalised. I would much prefer we concentrate on getting an attacking midfielder.
If we start the season without a new top quality #1 then I'll be massively disappointed. It will cost us. That and the CBs was the clearest area in need of improvement.
What about creativity? Who is going to actually create anything for the strikers we are signing?
I'm not sure we'll be signing a creative midfielder, might be wrong. But I feel like we'll be playing more direct than will necessitate one. And with Berry in the 10, Jones will want the other two to be combative and athletic.
Our midfield does look generally weak and lacking depth at the moment. I'm not sure one more addition will cut it.

No Swisdom said there was one from Mount Pleasant and another I believe

Interesting to see people's responses to the projected Ahadme fee. Lots of concern that £1m is too high but surely that should also put to bed some posters' fears that the owners aren't willing to pay what they need to? At the very least it should tell people that Nathan Jones is being properly backed by these owners to a pretty extensive degree, which can only be a good thing
Would suggest paying more than they need to!
Well I doubt that they are paying anything near £1m, they might be putting that figure out there. Charlie Bullshit on the case.
Interesting one. Has dual citizenship. Portuguese and Canadian. Has played for Portugal at U16 and U17 and Canada at U20. Fits the profile for the "wildcard" who had been. Mentioned earlier in the week.

Could it just...maybe just...mean the club is serious in backing the manager to give us the best possibility of getting out the league?

Don’t think he’s worth getting too excited about but at least interesting that we’re casting a wide net for young talent.
he might come from Montreal
he f*****g hates Millwall
He says Millwall can get fucked.

Charlton: 17.8 crosses per 90 mins
Cambridge: 17.5 crosses per 90 mins
14th & 15th in the league respectively.
Derby had the most in total (23.9) and Burton the least (13.6).
I'd imagine accurate crosses would have us bottom
