  • Sorry if it's already known, but are any of these games likely to be shown on Charlton TV, unlikely I guess but you never know.
From what I can work out the home game, the game against Palace and the game in Slovenia will be, unsure on tomorrow, against AFCW and the Millwall game

Jon, see my post from yesterday above.
  • £6.50 is a bit of a pisstake. It's a friendly vs Dartford.
It's to stop you buying instead of actually going I guess which is kind to Dartford. I hope the behind closed doors games are free, ridiculous if not

I paid £6 just for parking at Colchester for a pre-season game. Now that is a pisstake.
  • Can't you just pay for a £7 monthly pass and get whatever friendlies in July that are televised?

That was what I was hoping to do.

Probably, which is a bit of a flaw in the system

As long as you turn the auto renew bit off, at the end.

Yes if you sign up today, you'd get all the friendlies shown included. I'd be amazed if the closed doors ones were free. I'd imagine they will charge a fee for every game. So if you're planning on watching more than one just buy the monthly pass.

  • I always get the annual Charlton TV pass. The only extra I pay is for away games for ten quid when I go to Andorra to watch them.
I expect the game today will be covered by my annual fee/subscription and I won’t have to pay the six pounds fifty.

Just for clarity what price should they charge?
  • I KNOW we expect 100% from our lads , especially when demonstrated by incoming players but surely Alex Mitchell won't be in the squad for the PSF at Dartford this afternoon !

He's already bruised, battered & knackered from his appearance in Dunedin earlier today !

Not to mention the supersonic flight back to the UK !

Mind you, ex Millwall so who knows ....

Struggle to get a pint for £6.50 these days it’s not that bad
Which is also a pisstake, two wrongs don't make a right.

For free or a quid. Training game, £6.50 is a bump.

£6.50 is perfectly reasonable. Some people are never happy

The demand for a pre season will never be high, the club have to ensure they recover the costs that will have been incurred in providing the coverage IMO
Yeah fair enough, just don't think it's worth it personally.

You don't need to add on the part about my, or other peoples happiness. Cheers.

£7 for the month's subscription and it covers all the pre season games, which even if they only show the 3 it's less than 2.50 a game
This is what I did yesterday. Seven quid for a few games to help fill the footballing void and become little more familiar with the new signings before the season starts. And for less than the price of a pint of neck oil in my overpriced local.
(other style over substance beers are available)
  • Will there be a stream for the Dartford game?
The Thames is more of a river than a stream
  • Appreciate £6.50 isn’t cheap, but if this is the sort of cash necessary to keep the service afloat in the face of the upcoming Sky broadcasts, I am cool with it. Couldn’t be in Dartford yesterday, but fuel to Princes Park let alone drink and food there would have cost more for me. Seeing the new players impress made it worth every penny for me too. A lot to like versus last 3/4 seasons.
  • The next one on Charlton TV is next Saturday, around mid day I think.

That is a pretty decent deal if it gets you 3, I only saw the Dartford price standalone
  • Or just buy the annual Charlton TV pass for £65, which is only slightly more than a polyester replica shirt.

Not a hope in hell Millwall and Palace will be free.

I actually think season ticket holders should get free admission to the home pre-season friendly. People will still buy food and drink and you bet they'll go into the club shop and spend money too. As a benefit of season ticket holders, I think free admission is a nice gesture that people would appreciate.
Email the club. You never know they might agree with you.
