Delighted for him... Like Lloyd Jones before him, made a mistake up at Blackpool and hasn't looked back since - Half wondered if he'd be up for this level, given we signed him from Plymouth, and was disappointed when he lost his place to Bell (understandably given his performances).

Was even slightly concerned a bit about Macca coming into the team: "Jones has dropped him for a reason" I thought, whilst he was a big disappointment against Cambridge - But instead he's picked up where he left off last season.

I just hope he's happy being a "bit part" player again when Edwards returns, we need a squad not just eleven players.
Will he be a bit part player when Edwards returns?

He was superb tonight. Carry on like that and he will be undroppable.

And his knack of scoring is a very handy habit to have.
With the way Jones likes to play think he would resort back to Bell and Edwards when they’re both fit but it’s nice to know if they get injured there’s no zero need to panic. Can’t remember the last Charlton player who looked absolutely useless to start and then suddenly became brilliant
Depending on who you ask there was another left footed, free kick scoring centre half we had who might fit that description
@Garrymanilow  any chance of a hint? Or given that I'm utterly dreadful at names these days, just explaining outright?
    He also scored at Wembley
    In the wrong goal.

Leuth still has wet dreams about his return
  • The thing with macca is that he is slow at the championship level but he is so good in the air both defensively and at set pieces that as long as we don’t have him too isolated one on one, he is definitely a net positive
