  • We got so sick of complaining about the.

Time it opened and bar staff never ready.
    Lack of decent beer.
    The price.
Bar staff who haven't got a clue what they are doing.
    Poor quality and expensive food.

    Plus much more.

    We've taken our custom elsewhere.
    Unfortunately
  • It was a shambles on Saturday, I waited 20 mins to get a beer at the far end bar.
I have repeatedly complained about the lack of a hot drink after games and eventually the club have done something about it ( fair play) but the bloke ‘Perkalicious’ is hopeless, the coffee tastes horrible , he cant work his own machine, takes too long to serve people. Honestly , how can it be that difficult !!!
  • Is this the sort of thing that comes under Steve Sutherlands remit now?
  • 10 pints between the 2 of us on Saturday and 3 of the £6 pints came in plastic cups that leaked 😆
  • yeah everything was in plastic cups Saturday for some reason?

I thought the food was supposed to be improving? Even the bhaji burger has gone down the toilet.

I'm pretty sure all the burger buns are made from 30% recycled toilet paper.

    Apparently the dishwasher was buggered.
  • Quite amusing really; I asked for a medium red wine on Saturday and got half a pint, result! Whilst a lady on a nearby table ordered a white wine and ended up with a pint of the stuff! Kids behind the bar, all nice but absolutely clueless. Not their fault of course.

So THAT'S why there were toilet flushing issues !

Because of the water problem affecting the area around The Valley on Saturday

There was no mains water apparently.
  • The club is a shambles from top to bottom.
  • apart from the museum of course. Then it’s not part of the club is it.

Apart from the way the Ticket Office deals with Away tickets and the Academy I agree with you.

I know some have to use this bar for convenience, but the same complaints continue to come up and will continue to. If you can go elsewhere then that is your only option as this will never be resolved until some radical changes occur at the club.
  • It was plastic cups pre match at the last game as well

That was probably due to no running water (burst water main in Wellington Gardens) so no facility to wash glass glasses.

Whoever did that will be up in front of HR.

To be fair there was a burst water main so can't blame the club for that.

But what if HR did it?

I agree my apologies , not forgetting Upbeats.
  • I agree with a lot of the comments on here and no doubt there is room for improvement
But the bottom line for me comes down to choice - there is a lack of pubs in Charlton and I generally enjoy the pre match experience in there with a regular crowd of us so that’s will I will continue to drink

I don’t recall getting a plastic cup the previous game they might have just run out of glasses depending what time you were served or of course there’s every chance someone randomly just pours into plastic cups if they don’t know any better.
  • Don't mind a plastic cup. Means I don't glass myself when I fall over after the 10th pint.
