I'd like to see Ness alongside Jones JONES: 6 - did ok, especially as we now know he was suffering from an illness THOMAS: 5 - did ok defensively, save for losing Rhodes for the first goal, although in fairness, Rhodes is a tricky customer in the box, as you'd expect given his record and the fact that he once commanded a £10 million transfer fee. Thomas is poor offensively but he's a square peg in a round hole and we don't have an alternative at the moment. Tactically astute opponents will be more than happy for him to have the ball and to concentrate on doubling up on CBT.
