Taylor down in the wars needing treatment now
  • Taylor down again.
Jones has won everything thrown his way
Very poor so far.   No patterns of play, no progression.   But what strength in depth we have......

    Leaburn out wide isn't working

It might be blasphemous but 3-5-2 might work nicely here. Corey needs to be deeper to pick the ball up, he’s getting no joy currently against Winchester.

That allows Leaburn to move into the middle with Alfie.

And Tennai can push into RWB with Thomas making up the back three.
  • Feels a bit like the Stevenage first half where we are getting out worked and out bullied, and don’t really seem to have a game plan against a team who are very up for it.

With the pitch being so narrow I’d look at changing formation.

  • And all played in our half. Schoolboy stuff to push up when in possession.

Horribly niggly game, typical of a trip to Shrewsbury. Pissing down with rain, multiple stoppages for small injuries… I wouldn’t want a Shrews season ticket..
  • Severe lack of quality in this game. Been a hard watch.
If this is how Shrewsbury set up and play regularly, I wouldn't like to watch them every week
  • Dreadful fare. Jones is necessary, CBT and Campbell and May not in it.
    Not exactly steamrollering the opposition.

Looking better defensively so far, if we want to win today going to have to be done ugly - Appleton can't be making reactionary changes 30mins into a game though

3-5-2 or 4-4-2 it needs switching

Why on earth has someone Lol this?

The formation is not working. May is isolated upfront by himself and Leaburn is anyomous on the wing.

  • Injury break for Terry Taylor now. Other Charlton players all come over for a chat with Micky Apples. Need a spark here.

    Imagine because someone disagreed

We're 30mins into the game, so to say Leaburn isnt working out wide, when he did so well out there last week.

We’re already losing the battle for the middle of the pitch. Going from three in there to two would be suicidal.
  • Keeping in tune with a seemingly popular phrase, we are shit “on the grass”.

  • I'll have my eyes on the Ryder Cup so will only be flicking over to Soccer Saturday every so often. Hoping when I do the result will mirror Europe's.
I didn't think you'd be interested in the Golf, Golfie?

  • Pull yer finger out Addicks!

  • Terry Taylor is walking gingerly over to the touchline. Will continue for now.

  • Awful game

  • May dropped into midfield while Taylor gets treatment. Have to say if that’s a more permanent change.
  • Dobson another one who’s been off it in patches today.
  • Leaburn not in the right position

Now changed where people are playing if not the formation.

Leaburn gone upfront and may moved back into midfield
  • .Campbell needs go be replaced asap
  • The usual one paced, laboured, unimaginative attacking play we see anytime an opponent gets men behind the ball and closes us down well.

Just missing the soft goal conceded now to complete the bingo card.

Shape change needed. Even if it’s just switching Campbell and Leaburn.

TC barely counts as a 3rd midfielder defensively anyway
  • Shrews corner... comes to nothing as it lashes it down in Shropshire
