    If they don't win league 2 then something has gone seriously wrong.

    Their summer signings Paterson, Collins, Collar, Mendez-Laing and Hepburn-Murphy are all comfortably better than league two level.

    Surprised it took this long to be honest. There were reports at the time that he only went back after the summer so he couldn't be sued.

    Chansiri was clearly hoping to get compensation for him from another club and instead he's ended up having to pay him off to go. Another total shambles.

    Not sure how/why Bannan is still there. Out of contract since 30 June and was on 25k a week so he's lost out on 100k already by not signing for someone else on similar wages.

    Maybe after 10 years there and at his age he simply can't be arsed moving to another club but you'd have thought he could quite easily get a 2 year deal on decent wages at another club.

    I think it is (or was) the case that players get paid for July even though their contract expires at the end of June in which case he hasn't lost out on anything yet.

    Perhaps Wednesday have allowed him use of their medical facilities to recover from his recent traumatic “surgery” 👴 ➡️ 💇🏼‍♂️

    The  plight of the "massives" is the very reason we aren't shorter than we might otherwise be to go down and why we might only have to finish above two other sides in the division to stay up.

    Factor in Hull too and it might well be a shoot out for only one more relegation spot, dependant on their current embargo

    The EFL need to make some sort of announcement or ruling, the season is less than a couple of weeks away and clubs are selling tickets for games that there must be a decent chance of not going ahead.

    It would be a massive failure to not finish ahead of Oxford.

    When do players get paid.....end of the month or a set day ?  Surely the staff & players will get paid this month.

    I read that they have passed player sales as the last 2/3 allowed them to pay wages of those who were previously unpaid... However they still owe the taxman and other clubs I think so you would think any other players with any value will likely be sold in the coming month if no takeover happens.

    I would imagine Chris Powell would be a huge loss.  In a difficult environment, having such a positive coach must have bought at least an air of normality.
