This is so difficult so I've gone for one from the 70's, 80's and 90's:
Colin Powell - for no particular reason, I just remember him chatting to my uncle on the halfway line during a match, suddenly the ball came his way, conversation stopped and he raced off down the touchline crossing to Hales who missed.
Johnny Humphries - Again, no particular reason, just loved to see him get on the ball.
Not those that I thought were the best to ever play for us (Simmo wins that one) but the players I have the most affection for:
1. Killer, as a kid the man was a god to me. End of. 2. Jonnie H. At the time he was consistantly the best full back in the division in my opinion, a great bloke and the reason I don't really care about the England team any more. Travesty. 3. Kins/Powelly in joint third. Not only Charlton through and through but great players and throw backs to the good old days when players realised they were actually lucky to get paid for doing something any of us would trade in a body part to do.
