  • Murray is moving well
  • Tsitsipas plying to a very high level on his own serve. He will deserve to win this match if he sustains it.

7-6 to the Greek in the first set.
  • Brutal forehands from Tsitipas
  • Second straight tiebreak. If Murray wins it I doubt this match will finish tonight.

    My point entirely.

Murray wins the tiebreak 7-2 after losing the first one 7-3.

Two sets played in two hours and there’s a curfew at 11pm. We won’t be seeing more than one more set tonight.
  • Murray breaks serve early in the third set
  • Tsitipas looking the player who would want the break now

No idea where they fit the finish of this match in tomorrow if they’re not starting until 1:30 in the afternoon again
  • The weather forecast for the next week isn't great. They'll struggle to finish by Sunday unless it improves

Uh oh, Murray's possibly injured himself at set point up in the 3rd.

Wins the third!  Might be hoping to just manage to hang in there until 11 now to get the injury seen to overnight etc.
  • Murray wins the third set 6-4.

Just had a scare though, went down shrieking in pain.

    Even better, they break immediately.

Worrying shout on the injury but possibly the best timing once it had happened at least.
  • That’s where they’ll finish for the night. Returning tomorrow with a 2-1 lead for Murray.
  • That's it.

Tsitipas needs the break, while Murray probably should get that potential injury seen to
  • I'm not convinced that Murray actually hurt himself that badly there. Think it was a bit of gamesmanship myself.
  • Looked like his groin went there.

Either way - Andy Murray is a British sporting legend. Can’t argue with the guts he has shown the last few years.
Crazy to think he was here in 2019 seeming all but finished, playing a bit of mixed doubles just to be there etc.  Now 4 years on he's playing matches like this.

  • We've had to return our tickets for Monday centre court.  But you can't be resentful when your partner is having bypass surgery.

    Can you?

De Minaur is out. Beaten in straight sets by Berrettini.

Sinner currently a set down to Halys.
  • Norrie about to get started on No. 1 Court against the American Chris Eubanks.
  • edited July 2023
Eubanks takes the first set 6-3. Very impressive

Eubanks won 20 of 23 points on his serve in that set. Big serving, almost unreturnable thus far.
  • And then Norrie gets an early break in the second set
  • Both Broady and Murray should be starting shortly.

Three Brits simultaneously on the three biggest courts. Murray on Centre, Norrie on no. 1 and Broady on no. 2

Arguably the one that gets the most viewers will not be the top 10 player, understandable but Norrie hasn't really picked up the following Murray has.
  • Norrie levels at one set all.

    Broady broken early by Shapovalov.
