For a sell out there’s an absolute ton of empty seats scattered about the place.

Fair play to Saka. 2 years ago you'd argue that Foden was miles ahead. Now Saka is World Class.

    So good to watch.
A pretty big hit to the idea that Pep was bringing him on 'perfectly' by not playing him.

Saka playing every week and you've seen the development over the years.
Just hope he doesnt burn out quicker, like what we've seen from Rooney and Owen.
  • Bit of a slow start, not surprised given that Ukraine were always going to be defensive.

Few worrying moments with Mudryk being a threat in attack.

As Gary said though... Just a case of being patient in these games waiting for the right openings

Rashford, Kane and Saka is as good a front three (on form) as anything in international football.

5 or 6 years ago we would be going in at HT 0-0 with everyone saying it’s slow and boring. Now we have genuine quality in areas that can just put a game to bed. Why we gotta just stay patient. You’re not gonna come out and play exciting football for 90 mins, I don’t know any team that does that.

Now it's all about game management.

Can Southgate learn from the mistakes of the Italy game to manage the victory without slipping back and conceding easy goals.

This team has been doing this for the last four years or so.

I feel like I’m reading the same thread over and over again when England play.

20 minutes in, out come the it’s so slow and boring comments and then suddenly it’s half time and we’re 2-0 up.

I said it after the Italy game. The expectation for England is ridiculous compared to all other sides. Do people think that when city are 0-0 against shit sides in the prem…

    Brilliant watching our holy trinity.

     Kane - Bellingham - Saka.
  • Big Ivan getting ready to come on, let’s hope he put a bet on it.

Italy playing Malta later. Suspect that won’t last long.

    Job done. Very professional.

Two very professional performances. Six points and we don't need to put up with another international break this season. Perfect.

If you want entertainment probably not best to be an English Charlton fan.  I would win every game for the next 18 months looking "stale".  For both.

We got the win that's what matters
Would have been nice to see a change
the game definitely needed it we could have smashed them 5 or 6 -0 easy

Should be 12 more points from Malta and Macedonia, worst case 10 if we don’t turn up at Macedonia.

16-18 points with bonus opportunities for more against Italy at home and Ukraine away. Would agree that that’s basically us qualified already.

Macedonia (H) and Malta (A) in June should have us sitting nicely on 12 pts after four games.
  • I've only seen the highlights but good to see another win.

Said it on Thursday too, but Kane and Saka are a class above, really good, and Saka could be one of the best players in the world in a couple of years if he carries on improving as he has.

And what's the point it that?  Other than to give some people a nice warm feeling inside.

Win games, win them early, kill them off, move on to the next one.  Do we get bonus points for artistic impression?  These we 2 of our hardest 4 games of qualifying.  We have 6/6, we need to royal screw it up now not to qualify.

Let's wait for Malta at home to play for the crowd.

We would have been crucified if we had been hit on the break in either of the last two games.

I like Maguire in an england shirt, but we do need to start finding talent at centre back. I personally would have Smalling back in the squad. He’s consistently one of Roma’s best players and their fans love him.
    Guy is 33, no thanks.

Ben White and Tomori should be ahead of him.
White doesn’t play CB for Arsenal so I don’t think he’s an option for England.
Played 202 games at centre back in his career.
no chance. Regardless, if number of games was the deciding factor then we'd have to pick the likes of Dunk or Mee above him.
  • Second half was boring but to be expected as the game was done and you can't really blame the players for (most likely) thinking ahead to league games next weekend.

On current form though there can't be many better right wingers in world football than Saka.

They was hardly a threat of any kind we had that game won by HT
The point is it gives players more time then the last 10 minutes to be involved plus we could have gave some other players some game
    time
how much better would it have been to watch
