I think we need to look at how many batting coaches we've had in the last couple of years. We didn't win any of our first six CC games last season and that there was a heavy reliance on Compton's runs. Once the pitches and conditions got easier we started to win games - 5 of our final 8 games in fact. The fact that, in our squad, Compton is the only one who averages in First Class cricket much over 35 tells its own story. Most don't average much more than 30. That isn't down to the batting coaches we've had over the years.killerandflash said:
