To be fair the Charlton connections have been great this year - Dobson May Parkinson Jackson are all nice in their own ways to see.

    Scott Parker too.

Interesting that both Parker and Jacko, like Jones built their success around masses of clean sheets. Boring, boring Charlton  :D

Fantastic to see JJ succeed at Wimbledon, absolutely delighted for him.

He was treated disgracefully by Sandgaard, he should never have been sacked at the end of the 2021/22 season.

He inherited a team in 22nd place and took us up to mid-table and his points per game over 33 games would have given us 70 points over the season, comfortably in the top half.

Glad he has proved to be successful at AFC after the unfair and poor treatment by the then owner of CAFC.
Remember that that season we only got some poor quality loans in Jan, he didn't have players like JRS to boost us.
I think there's case to say he overachieved with the "quality" he had to pick from.

Really pleased for him, a top bloke, legendary player who was short changed as our manager by the ownership of the time.

He was, and TS treated him like crap, but overall I'm glad he left and successfully developed his career elsewhere.

Things move on and it is also better for Charlton in the long term.

Wonder if AFCW could be a good shout for loans for some like Kanu or Mitchell next season.

Great video here on how he set Wimbledon up for their play off final win. Good watch for any Jackson or tactics lovers

Maybe it was too soon appointing him as Charlton Manager

But we were equally far too hasty in getting rid of him, but that was one of Sandgaard's worst moments

Especially considering he replaced him with Garner, who had a very specific style of play which at L1 level usually requires big investment to afford the type of players needed.

AFC Wimbledon manager Johnnie Jackson and his coaching team have extended their contracts until the summer of 2027.

Wonder if they'll keep this run up. The top 6 and bottom of that league both have dome surprising names in them

I have a Wimbledon mate who thinks they will inevitably fall away soon, have little depth etc.

He has sent me pics on the train back of Jacko right in the mixer in amongst the fans.

    What a guy.
  • Interview up on Substack now with Johnnie Jackson.

Talks about way he was let go by Thomas Sandgaard, the fact he nearly got handed the manager's job earlier and being number two to Bow.

There will be a second part with JJ about his playing career with CAFC that will come out soon!
