We’re currently moving out of “silly season” where agents “make numbers up”.
It moves to “sensible business time” with players returning to training around 20-24 June. Players start to panic when they see former teammates and friends training.
Glad we have no plans to sell Stockley. It would be an act of madness IMO.
Where did you hear that. Any actual.quotes from the management or was it said by SG or TS in their interviews this week. Because my feeling is, and TS said himself, we dont want to keep just pumping it forward to the tall guy up front when plan A fails.

Is it my imagination or is the rumour mill here working on reduced hours and producing a poorer end product.
I'm not sure I'd give much credence to anything I've seen so far, unless it is the case that agents are deliberately dragging out the process or Ben has to sanction those signings that were, reportedly, already coming.

The poor guy. He's a 'thoroughly nice bloke actually' according to some, like 'an excited kid on work experience' to others ,and has had the audacity to comment on the length of training sessions apparently.
Put him in the stocks and throw tomatoes at him if it makes you feel better, metaphorically speaking of course, but I'm confident he's not the reason we were sh*t last season and finished 13th.

Good possible fundraiser for the upbeats, that suggestion in your last paragraph

and Chris Wilder also saying a similar quote and on the video of his transfer deadline day back at Sheffield United you can see how hard it is to get deals done.
so that’s Harris, Rowett & Wilder, 3 good managers who are intelligent chaps in this area, all of which have said the market is silly business. Yet when our owner says this in an article he gets pelters by impatient man babies on Twitter. The funny thing is even if we sign these players today or a month from now it’s out of our control yet people still get worked up, bizarre behaviour.
I reckon we will end up with Joe Wollacott (Swindon’s goalie) and that will be some coup.
Ghanas number 1, made team of the season, contract is up in the summer and I imagine would be the kind of keeper Garner wants.
McG is absolutely turd with his feet and AMB is up in the air due to his injury record imo, I reckon we will have a new #1 next season.
The keeper is an interesting one. 25 so a good age, but has made less than 50 league appearances.
Made the league two team of the season despite Swindon having the worst defensive record in the top 10, so are we to assume he kept them in a lot of games and they'd have leaked more without him?
Ghana international but hasn't been away with them for their games this month. Is he injured?
I’ll check again but believe he’s injured atm. He must have very good stats as the keeper he pipped to the TOTS is Liam Roberts of Northampton who conceded 38 goals in 46 and managed 21 clean sheets.
Joe Wollacott by comparison played 37 conceded 45 and managed 10 clean sheets.
Seems like a bit of a farce actually but I can only assume Joe had great save stats whereas Roberts had a great defence infront of him, I know Jon Guthrie who plays as a centre back for Northampton (also in team of the year) was getting great reviews by league 2 fans
Maybe that’s the problem, Martins been using a Commodore 64 hence being a bit slow, it’s just analysed Davison isn’t very good!!, better late than never🤣… good job MS👍
Important to remember we are near the bottom of the food chain when it comes to transfer chains. For example, if Kirk was to go Blackpool. It would probably involve someone signing one of their players. Blackpool then signing Kirk, before we can sign someone.
Additionally, a lot of Championship clubs don’t allow players to go on loan until after they out of the league cup. If teams get through to the 2nd round their squad players are normally kept at the club for an extra week or two.

It then becomes a buyers market.

Davison in Swindon...
He's probably just picking up his stuff.
