Much better, wont get carried away obvs, but we're clearly playing a certain way and sticking to the game plan, no real pointless punts forward etc. Of course, Stockley and Washington together makes a difference.
Its bizarre really, neither have really been that involved

We've not seen the Duracell battery runs from Washington which is understandable given the fact that he's coming back to fitness, and probably wont last the 90mins.

Stockley on the other hand hasn't really won much in the air!!

Having them back in the team is almost as much of a mental help for the others, as it is to actually have them back.

Looking at how often the players collapse and give up, wonder just how much of the performance is in their heads.

  • Back out for the second half.

  • Out for the second half. Big 45 ahead. Keep it going, Addicks! #cafc | http://cafc.co.uk
  • Clearly had a rocket 🚀, Gilbert seems to need a bollocking to get going as do a lot of the others

  • 46' 1-0 Second half underway. #Gills

Were the 3 shots on target all from the same passage of play  ?  CBT's initial shot, players follow up blocked & then Gilbey scoring.
That, and they are counting anything within 6ft of either post.  Same bloke that does the gate numbers

Much much better. Look like we have a plan now. Fraser, CBT and Gilby all good. Stockley makes a massive difference.
Washington & Stockley together are the difference.
Fraser settling in and CBT returning are the difference

    Gilbey back

If Gilbey does that every game for the rest of the season and the first ten games of next season, rest assured I will be the first to congratulate him
Its big of you to admit that if he puts a run together of 20 goals in 20 games that you'll be happy for him.
I almost said 'first 30 games'
    Never change Leuth.

I think so. Until that passage of play we hadn't worked the keeper at all

His clothes will be a bit smelly by the end of that 30 games if he never changes.
  • Second half, and the director cuts straight to Jacko walking up teh touch line while Gills area attacking, but McG goes down to collect the cross.

It helps playing very ordinary opposition, who were happy to let us get confident on the ball
  • Stockley's movement off the ball is awful
  • Purrington forward to Fraser, out wide to CBT, who cuts inside, ball back to Fraser but the cross evades everyone and out for a goal kick
  • Dog pass from Fraser there. 🤣

Agree, his movement in general ain't too hot, he needs it on a sixpence or he finds someone else to blame..

Jonny Williams assist for Swindon. 2-1
  • CBT gets in a bit of a tangle on the left, and Gilbey ends up having to put the ball out for a throw on the right.
  • CBT up the left, the full back draws a bit of a nudge and the full back goes down and wins the free kick.

  • 51' 1-0 A fairly quiet start to the half, most of the play in midfield. McKenzie fouled as he defends against Blackett-Taylor on the left side. Conor Washington now caught offside. #Gills
  • Ref fell for that from the full back.
  • Fraser is really good at keeping hold of the ball
  • Washington caught offside midway in their half and their keeper hoofs it forward.
  • Morecambe losing 3-0
  • Foot race between Purrington and a Gills player but McG can hoof clear. Gilbey loses possession but Dobbo wins us a free kick about 10 yards out from our area.
  • Ball goes up the other end and Gilbey's caught offside.
