That's a very very impressive ratio for a youth team. Knew it would be high from that side but didn't think it would be that high.

Rest of the United side haven't amounted to much , Daehli had an unremarkable spell at Cardiff and is back in Norway, Blackett recently joined FC Cinncinati in MLS.

I remember losing to Man United in QF in 2012, but what is the furthest Charlton have been in the Youth Cup before?
yes that was some game and if I remember rightly it went to extra time and near the end one of our players had to leave the pitch as he had blood on his shirt and while off Man Utd scored

Charlton: Phillips; Cousins, Fox, Ajayi, Lennon; Poyet, Holmes-Dennis, Muldoon, Harriott; Sho-Silva, Pigott

Subs: Osborne, Gerard, Derry, Brown, Azeez

Man Utd: Sutherland, Grimshaw, Blackett, Ioannou, McCullough, Rudge (Ekangamene 88), Barmby (Gorre 90), Hendrie (Wilson 55), Byrne, Daehli, Van Velzen.
Those teamsheets should be shown to the next highly rated kid who has his head turned by a big club and is debating whether to sign for us.

Ok you might earn more money for the next 2-3 years but think of the bigger picture.

Looking at where the respective players ended up that’s a proper shit result (yes I know players develop at different times )
Who was the manager , he should be tinned .

Leaburn's level dropped second half as did rest of the team - the skipper was good and the right back a real mixed bag - some great stuff and some poor stuff but ability -   kedwell neat and tidy, centre half quite old school but decent - can see why kanu is talked about although on yesterday's showing there was only a couple of moments and campbell on the other side had more impact generally - their forward Starkey looked good although also faded second half - Beadle was quality as always.
Reports on a different Charlton forum that we are taking Ollie Starkey on trial this week.

Good news. Went to the game and he was the stand out player for 30 mins. Was knackered after that, but fitness will improve going full time.

A pretty successful youth team that; of the starting 11 most still pro footballers.  I remember seeing the game and Holmes Dennis looked absolutely superb.  Shame for the lad.

    Phillips Championship with Cardiff
    Cousins League One with Wigan
    Fox Championship with Stoke
    Ajayi Championship with West Brom
    Lennon Conference with Wrexham
Poyet chose to give it up to bodybuild
Holmes-Dennis sadly forced to retire early.
    Muldoon conference at Hornchurch
    Harriott surprisingly without a club
    Sho-Silva League Two with Sutton
    Pigott League One with Ipswich

    Osborne Semi Pro at Kingstonian
Gerard appears to be out of the game.
    Derry semi pro at Braintree
    Brown semi pro at Hornchurch
Azeez Non league Dartford after a reasonable league career.
Harriott is without a club for non footballing reasons I believe.

Made his First Team debut yesterday for Worthing. Would absolutely love it if that's true , great kid that deserves it.
