  • Remember beating West Ham 1-0 just before Christmas and it was kicking off all game in the South Stand. The picture is too blurry for me, havent got my goggles on.
  • The bloke in the front row 2 in from left looks familar....
  • I know we finished bottom of Division 2 without winning away all season and lost 6-0 in the Cup to Wrexham. Sounds almost as bad as last season!
  • My cousin was the mascot for the last home game against Swansea (lost 2-1) got to the ground double early, met John Toschack before the game and thought I'd never met anyone taller! Remember being very jealous as he got the full Bukta kit, which in my mind has never been bettered.

My sister knocked herself out on the terracing at the West Ham game, which we actually won 1-0.

I think we should have played Wolves in the cup but it was read out wrong at the draw.
  • The season we sunk like a stone and manager Andy Nasty Nelson was at last fired.

How we can we blow up the picture, I should be able to identify most of them, if only I could see them...... :-)
  • The day that photo was taken, the club invited some children along (or perhaps it was some sort of open day) and I have basically the identical photo with five kids sat at the feet of the players on the front row (meincluded, aged 6).

I've got the same problem...if only I could see them!! Martin Robinson is next to Killer, on our left. Looks like Graham Tutt is the keeper. Now, anybody got a magnifying glass??

Phil Warmen, I think at the other end of that row.

I think the player behind killer is a young Steve Gritt.
  • Bloody hell, you lot can actually see them?

Perhaps I've been kidding myself I don't need glasses........

christ, you could be right, is that reeves next to Graham Tutt?
  • New York Addick it was an open day I think. Me and my brother also had our photo taken with the team. Have got it indoors with the teams signatures. I wore Dave Shipperley's shirt which came down past my toes.
  • No, T.C.E, Peter Reeves had to take early retirement several years before.
  • I sure that the keeper is Woods, Is that Ambrose in the back row?
  • Graham Churchouse

    lol, my eyes are knacked.
  • Dave Shipperley (2nd spell at the club) next to Andy Nelson?

    Ship-ship-shipperley......

    Ship-ship-shipperley!

6' 4" of one paced man mountain.
Anyone remember his 'classic' own goal from the half way line v Orient, the year we got relegated from Div 2?
  • [cite]Posted By: newyorkaddick[/cite]No, sorry Gary Churchouse

Gary Churchouse, ex-non league: the most over-rated non-performing ability-less player since........
  • Leroy Ambrose, Alan Dugdale, Harry Cripps ;)
  • Heres the 79-80 table
  • I seem to recall Nelson out! during that time
  • Back row Leroy Ambrose, Tony Booth, Jeff Wood, Alan Dugdale, Gary Churchhouse
Middle Row Harry Cripps, Dick Tydeman, Peter Shaw, Steve Gritt, David Campbell, Les Berry, Dave Shipperley, Andy Nelson
Front Row: Martin Robinson, Derek Hales, Lawrie Madden, Phil Walker, Phil Warman

I cheated and looked at the Colin Cameron book but I got all but Booth, Digdale and Campbell
  • There's me thinking you were wearing your special prescription glasses, Henry! ;-)

David Campbell was the 19 year old youngster who quit after one savage dressing room humilation too many by Nelson.

    Alan Dugdale.....Jeez, I'd forgotten him!
  • i loved that kit thats the best ever

My first season going to foot without Dad just me and the ginger one, great memories
