It's just not correct to say he didn't answer questions.
He just didn't give the answers some people wanted.
It was, from my point of view, a very frustrating evening because of the technical problems which then meant we couldn't follow up on questions and answers properly.
But this is a guy getting "you're getting sacked in the morning" chanted at games and being abused on twitter. He's hardly going to take any risks or open up fully.
Remember also how well Bowyer being honest about Madison went down.
He did say Morgan as a number 10 didn't work but that in his enthusiasm Albie is all over the place trying to everyone's job and he praised him as a very talented player.

I asked a similar question about Ronnie freeing up a spot and he said the January window was an opportunity and players would come in and others who aren't playing might go out. They are already working on it and I suspect cutting RS lose now is part of that.

On does he know his best side he said yes (according to my notes). He said making 5, 6, changes every game as we have is not good but now have the players in place and up to speed fitness wise.
They want 40 games a season players and a squad but many players game from clubs where they hadn't been playing and he needed to manage that. He was a physio and we have a very good medical science team.
A promoted team is usually the same every week/settled.
When pushed as to why and his own role and choices he was clearly less comfortable but said it wasn't about me but we. We have a director of football, a technical director and an owner and we use a lot of analysis. They were collective decisions on players also based on what we could get for the budget. A lot of players we wanted went to the championship which he accepted was understandable as higher status and more money.
Asked if promotion was still possible he said "you've got to strive for it"
Said that with 35 games left 22 wins should be enough for the play offs.
We're not where we want to be but, we want to be in the championship and going for the premier league but it takes time, there's a lot that needed doing and were putting those things in place and developing good habits.
Management is always a challenge, lots of people (players, staff, academy) to improve to be a success. Loves his job and being in football.

Someone asked if it was formation first or players first too, as in do you have a preferred formation and the players must fit or do you fit the formation to the players at your disposal
His comment on the make up of an league one team was interesting but I couldn't get in to ask the follow up which was "do you have it". He said you need six "big 'uns" as a high percentage (he said what but I can't remember) of goals come from, for and against, set plays.
Then you need a left and a right footed set piece taker. You need a pacey player and a goalscorer (20 to 30 goals) as well as a captain.
The players need to be athletic, robust enough to play 40 games, warriors when things are hard, willing to learn and be coachable IE can improve, not set in their ways and have technical ability with 85% pass completion.
I hope the first question is 'Was Ronnie medically unfit or just not uo to the standard of League 1 football'. Please!

I was right. NA avoided answering as many questions as he could. He started wasting time and waffling from the kick off. He reminded me of one of those really boring people you have to phone and you can put it down and disappear for 5 mins, they don't know and are still waffling, nothing of consequence when you return. Talked and talked non stop, but said little of any interest.

What on earth do you expect him to say to a supporters club meeting? That Jayiesimi is crap and I don't have a clue why Gallen suggested him; that TS has got too much say over transfers and God knows why TS pushed for Schwartz; or explain the personal reasons why Schwartz left.
No manager can possibly be honest in such circumstances, particularly with the Internet today where anything remotely controversial that he says will get plastered all over social media.
Throw in he has had people screaming at him to resign at recent games and tell him he doesn't know what he is doing and he's clearly going to be reserved in what he says.
What I will say is that I thought NA was far from his normal happy self. He really looked like he didn't want to be there and his body language wasnt great. And 3 or 4 times he said something on the lines of (not exact wording) I'm only a custodian passing through and you fans will be here after me. Maybe he has already been told things have to improve or he is out.
Appreciate Bromley Addicks arranging the evening and being able to listen in but I'm not sure having a manager who is under huge pressure is ever really going to lead to a free flowing discussion.

We had a considerable break due to interference and it seemed that a number of people asked more than one question while others were possibly ignored. Of course NA did not go into detail of contracts or illness but I thought he was allowed to meander too long on his professional history when more time could have been given to answering CAFC questions. Not the best Zoom you have done but still an interesting evening while watching the women's team loose 1-0 to Spurs.

A frustrating Zoom session which like a Charlton match started slowly and then became chaotic with everyone out of position and Clive ! oblivious to the chatter coming from his end. Bromley Addicks have put on some great evenings over the years but unfortunately this zoom session wasn't one of them.
No easy way to say this but having been on 50 odd Zooms over the last 18 months if the host doesn't mute from their end you have chaos and interference as some will always forget to mute.
Everyone was affected, including Nigel Adkins who forgot Pape's surname; Pape John's or Pape Smurf sprang to mind but I decided not to heckle and stayed mute. Despite a much better 2nd half there was no flow and this made Nigel waffle far too much. It's probably why ex players and ex managers make for more candid guests.
I tried to ask a question by clicking on the reaction emoji or by raising my hand but just like the sub warming up for 90 minutes and trying to catch the managers eye it wasn't going to happen.
Ali asked a question about Sparrows lane which was similar to mine but my question was:
"During this International break do you feel you have made progress on the training pitch and did you do extra sessions on tactics on the pitch and with the analysis team and players in the room in the afternoon after a healthy lunch."

Jimmy Seed in spring time who can pass on stories of his Grandad and tales his mum told him plus his own days in TV and how his links with the Australia group came about. I have met James and he is a top man.
Covered End in the summer who is from this Parish and can tell many stories of 50 years following Charlton and recalling fans past and present plus players from the different era's. I have met Covered end and he is a top man.
