Still sat watching the coverage on Prime in disbelief. How does an 18 year old rock up to qualifying of an Open and 3 weeks later win the thing without dropping a set.

Presumably you have to give some credit to the coaches at The Parklangley Club.
6-2 6-1. Blew away Rogers who just came off a win against the No. 1 seed. Great stuff.
Next up, Belinda Bencic. Tokyo gold medallist.
Bencic will be another level, high ranked and really in-form.
Would be amazing if Emma could do it.
I honestly thought Bencic in the QF was a step up that would prove too much. Shows what I know.
Me too. Am trying to put it into perspective of other achievements - so would be interested in others' views
The fact that she didn't lose a set puts it up there, if you look at players who've won a Grand Slam in the Open era without losing a set it's essentially 95% just a list of the greats - King, Evert, Navratilova, Graf, the Williams sisters etc.
And apart from Bartoli being seeded 15, they were all seeded really high.
So basically world class tennis players already having won a lot, not 18 year olds in their second tournament.

Just saying. 🤪

This is massive sporting history
Please ignore if it doesn't suit.
I think that's what Dave was getting at but it got a bit lost in translation.
Or people wanting to start a row after a nice win
I'd imagine she's had worst fortnights.
I think another zero has just been added to the asking price.

It's just crazy.
