Sadly, more than ever, it is possible to be relatively successful in football by building an average team and denying the opposition from scoring. Spurs haven't had a shot on target for two consecutive PL games now but aren't unique for not being able to score. After 11 games, here are the ones who have done well despite their lack of goals (F-A)

The rewards for not conceding are there for all to see and this pre occupation with two holding midfielders, conceding possession and hitting teams on the counter is very much a symptom of modern day football caused by fear of losing games and managers not wanting to be out of work as a result of that.

Indeed but my comment was also a dig at Klopp who has historically moaned when they his side has less time to prepare and recover for a game. Liverpool played at home on Wednesday. West Ham played away on Thursday.
