As a left footed winger . Would they have signed him if they were in the mix for JRS?
Nesta Guineas Walker signs for Reading.
The third winger they’ve signed recently, makes JRS even less likely.
Jones is a tricky little devil .. saw him just the once v us at Coventry .. gave us problems .. had a lot of injuries lately .. could well turn out to be a v good signing, IF he's fit

We were linked with him once many years ago
So Robbo eventually gets his man
Robinson will have a spring in his step this season anyway, knowing he won't have face Wimbledon!
Kwadwo Baah has gone to Fortuna Dusseldorf on loan from Watford. I thought he might make a big break through in the Championship this season so going to a team in the 2nd tier in Germany is a slight surprise but he was born in Germany and decided to play for their U18's last season.
Chelsea are apparently willing to match Brighton's asking price for Cucurella. City have said they won't go higher than 40m. Chelsea are prepared to offer a deal (that might include a player) worth 50m.
Sammie Szmodics off to Blackburn from Peterborough.
Bit of a loss for them but looks like they’re getting about 1.5 million for him.
They've managed to keep Clarke-Harris and Marriott, so have a really strong strike force for L1
Quite likely the best in the league but losing Szmodics probably takes a good 10 or so goals away from them.
Depending on whether they replace him or not of course.
The thing with Peterboro has always been, and this year is no exception, how will their defence cope against the better attacks as they are so gung ho.
I would suggest though that if anyone comes above them this year then that team is going up as their strike force is so formidable at this level. Was surprised JCH didn’t have more of an impact in the championship last year.

Was listening to McAnthony's podcast and he said that they weren't looking to sell any players for the sake of it , but if someone hit their valuation they would sell. Its expensive to run a football club.

I think it took JCH a while to settle into the Championship, but he was looking good by the end of the season. I'm surprised he's still there and that a Championship club hasn't picked him off, especially a club with parachute payments
Clarke-Harris and Marriott (if they stay fit) is a 50 goal strike force at this level so Peterborough will definitely be in and around the promotion places. 1 game in and they've already got 3.
Carney Chukwuemeka (Aston Villa lad, who was outstanding at the recent U17 Euros, and already has first team appearances with Villa) looks set to join Chelsea... Hope his career doesnt copy Izzy Brown now.
Looks a proper talent, who should already be playing in the Premier League more often

Because we know MaCanthony will be demanding £10million. It’s how he works. No issue with it as they find such great attacking talent and really get the best out of them. But it means it puts clubs off buying their best players.

Would have imagined he'd get far more game time at Villa but Chelsea have been a bit better in the last couple of seasons when it comes to actually playing youngsters

£20m fee too, so not the sort of money you spend on a speculative punt

Actually think it is these days.
Even if he doesn't do that well, Chelsea could sell him to a Bournemouth, Palace etc club for £15m or something. So it's a reasonably cheap gamble.
Decent gamble from Chelsea but madness from the kid.
Reason he wasn't that happy at Villa was because he felt he should be playing more............so he signs for Chelsea! A team who have full internationals in their midfield who can't get a game.
Seems like yet another youngster who's had his agent in his ear. He'll earn more money but he certainly won't be playing more.
