I have to say, I'm absolutely delighted by this. Was impressed with him at Watford, was a little surprised he went Everton tbh as I thought we should have gone for him then. He's ideal cover for Kane, he's proper quick and can play across all 3 positions up top and he's a unit, although he's got this thing in his game where he goes down like a sack of sh*t having been shot by a sniper and hopefully Conte will soon knock that out of him as the supporters certainly wouldnt put up with them sort of antics! Can imagine Kane just playing off of him too. He gives us a lot of options. The price is a bit toppy (IMHO) but I guess its an average fee for a recognised, proven PL centre forward now.
Given a choice of Richarlison and Gabriel Jesus, we've gone for the right Brazillian. One has excelled and scored goals in two bang average sides. One has been second choice no.9 to a team that doesnt play with a no.9.
Can't stand Richarlison but he's a decent player and his versatility makes him a shrewd signing for Spurs. Gordon ok as a longer-term replacement for Son but don't think I'd be in for him if I was Spurs.
Rumour as well that Spurs are trying to get Anthony Gordon as well.
Am sure they'll be a popular team next season with people who hate diving, yet are blind when their own players do it
I haven't seen much of Gordon but it smacks of a Levy signing over Paratici, going back to the likes of when we were dicking around Grealish and Ward-Prowse when VIlla and Southampton were strapped for cash. He looks a good prospect but he doesnt get into our front line.
Sounds like more movement on the CB front in the next couple of days, along with Spence the RWB (as long as Levy actually offers Boro a reasonably amount. It sounds like Levy is being Levy on all accounts!)
Genuinely looking forward to the start of next season. Its surreal ENIC backing a manager before pre-season and not doing things on the cheap.
I am not getting the love for this guy, bang average striker who nearly got relegated last season.
Consistently scored about 1 in 3 for Everton despite them being a bit shite last couple of years and him playing alongside shite/past it players like Iwobi, Walcott etc.
Dan Ballard has signed for Sunderland. Great signing for them, long term deal too.
Kick in the teeth for Millwall who were hoping to get him.
Guess its why they turned their attention to Cresswell.
Heard the deal Arsenal wanted was the block. They wanted a ridiculously large sell on fee, and with him being a bit injury prone I suppose the club decided it just wasn’t worth the risk.
More than happy with Cresswell instead for a season. We’re already strong defensively.

But if its reasonable up front but with a large sell on fee and the issue is his injury record, if he is injured too often you won't sell him, if he isn't you will get a big fee and everyone will be happy?

I heard they wanted a buy-back clause with the price set as the price they sold him for, which was never going to work or be agreed on.
Cresswell seems more highly rated, has some Premier League game time under his belt already and is reportedly more ball playing than Ballard was/is.
Happy to go along with the judgements of those that know more about these players. Looking forward to a few more additions as well.

Yeah, I’ve since heard the same. We would have been mad to accept that deal. Basically if he’s a success and stays injury free then they can have him back for what we have them for him. If he fails then we’re lumbered with him. No thanks. Looking forward to seeing what Cresswell can do. Heard good things
Brennan Johnson has signed a new deal at Forest. It's always good if a player who comes through the ranks actually repays the club by signing a deal Iike this, rather than buggering off on a free straight away.

So the fact that Richarlison can be that back-up but also rotate with Son and Kulusevski makes a lot of sense.

(EDIT - seems we've already triggered the €35m mandatory at the end of next season as we've qualified for the CL)
Only 25 but good PL experience.
Versatile in those front 3 positions.
Should do better alongside Kane, Son etc.

Graham Carey who took us apart for Plymouth a couple of times has left CSKA Sofia to join St Johnstone.
Lincoln Left Back Cohen Brammall has joined Rotherham. Could this free up Tolaji Bola the ex Arsenal trainee who we were once linked with?
