Officially retiring next year, he's been my fave wrestler since I was 8 years old. Gutted but then I have to remind myself he's 64! Very thankful that AEW have given him the chance to finish his career on a high note.

So glad I got to see Sting at All In and that he got another run after WWE treated him so poorly at his only 'Mania appearance. Looking forward to seeing who he wrestles in his last match.0

Me too, never got the chance when I was a kid in the 90s as WCW didn't really tour the UK much, if at all. Got chills sitting there at Wembley and seeing him walk to the ring for real.Addick_and_Chips said:So glad I got to see Sting at All In and that he got another run after WWE treated him so poorly at his only 'Mania appearance. Like me you would watch WCW Saturday Night on ITV before Baywatch!CAFCTrev said:Officially retiring next year, he's been my fave wrestler since I was 8 years old. Gutted but then I have to remind myself he's 64! Very thankful that AEW have given him the chance to finish his career on a high note.
Glad he had an AEW run as you said the WWE run wasn't great, also a nod of the cap to TNA would he had great matches with past his prime. Joker Sting showed he still had a lot to offer. His angle with Hogan in 96/97 is amongst the best ever. Up there with Hogan/Macho 'Mania 5, Austin V McMahon and the Bloodline. I hope he doesn't Ric Flair it and come out of retirement as one last match with the right opponent would be the perfect ending.
The perfect last opponent would be Warrior, Flair or The Undertaker. As we can (hopefully) write them all off it's Darby Allin. I would like to see him manage Darby post retirement, maybe hitting a Scorpion Death Drop when the referee isn't looking etc.
What a career and he always comes across as a decent bloke out of character.2 -

They'll have him doing that spot with Sting in a match against the young bucks.0

Impact wrestling has changed it's name back to TNA, which seems a backwards step to me. There are also rumours that CM Punk is going to join them and I think they've signed a new TV deal? Either way it seems they're going on an upwards projection which is interesting. They have some decent talent there with Frankie Kazarian and Eric Young.0

Will Osprey is up there with the very best Wrestlers in the world in my opinion, but I really wish they wouldn't give him a microphone......bruv bruv bruv

I’m struggling to think of a more violent match on a major US promotion in recent years than Swerve vs Hangman.

Glad they finished the show with an actual wrestling match.cafctom said:I’m struggling to think of a more violent match on a major US promotion in recent years than Swerve vs Hangman.

They really managed to keep it quiet didn't they? Every source was either in on it to say it's not happening, or WWE managed to throw them off the scent enough to actually pull it off. People talk about the monster pop he got in AEW, watch last night back, the crowd were chanting CM Punk so loud by the end of it, you can barely hear Cult Of Personality playing!1

I’m a little less surprised by it now than had it been maybe 4-5 years ago.
His AEW run broke the seal for him to return to the industry, so it’s a little less of a jump than it would have been before.Still a welcome shock though. Wrestling is far more interesting with him involved, even with all the chaos that often comes with it.1 -
His Instagram was superb. I assumed he was just winding up fans and was done with wrestling. Posting a WWE promo video that had him as the devil. 😃sam3110 said:They really managed to keep it quiet didn't they? Is the reaction from Seth Rollins kayfabe or legit do we think? I can’t see Michael Cole & Graves plus some referees would have stopped him from getting to Punk?1
-
100% kayfabe. Rollins is one of the best workers in the business, and the wrestlers were told before what was happening regarding Punk, hence them all staying by the ring long after the bell went and the celebrations kicked off, otherwise The Judgement Day would have hightailed it out of there.NorthStandUltra said:Is the reaction from Seth Rollins kayfabe or legit do we think? I'm fairly sure Rollins genuinely doesn't like Punk, but he's going to be professional enough to see it will make all of them a tonne of money in fueds.

It's great pro wrestling, they're playing off a shoot comment (I make Rollins right) and did some stuff after the show knowing it will get shared everywhere. I expect Punk will cost Rollins his belt and it will lead to a feud.

Seth Vs Punk should be a great feud. Hopefully they don't work themselves into a shoot.0
