CAFC v Wigan Athletic (17/10 3pm) Valley Pass Details - CAFC Cash/match bundle deadline passed.

edited October 16 in General Charlton

Streaming passes have gone on sale for next Saturday’s game against Wigan Athletic.

There are a variety of different ways supporters can access the stream of the game to allow them to use money owed to them from season-ticket purchases.

All supporters

Any individual can purchase directly on the Valley Pass website. A match pass costs £10 in the UK. Click here to purchase a match pass.

2020/21 season-ticket holders

Season-ticket holders can use their CAFC Cash to access a special two-game bundle for the club’s home games in October – against Wigan Athletic and Oxford United. The bundles gives season ticket holders a 20 per cent discount, allowing them to access the two games for £16. The bundle is available here until 2pm on Friday, October 16th. Following your purchase you will be sent a code on the Saturday morning which you will need to redeem to access the stream.

Any supporter who bought a season ticket can access an individual home game using money owed to them as CAFC Cash. Money owed from games in October has now been loaded into supporters’ ticketing accounts. Passes to access the game with CAFC Cash are available here until 2pm on Friday, October 16th. Following your purchase you will be sent a code on the Saturday morning which you will need to redeem to access the stream.

A special edition of Valley Review will cover all three games in October. The edition, which costs just £3, can be added to your order when purchasing streaming vouchers.

2019/20 season-ticket holders

Any supporter who purchased a season ticket last season and hasn't used up all of their CAFC Cash will be able to access next Saturday's live stream with remaining CAFC Cash from last season. These are available here until 2pm on Friday, October 16th. Following your purchase you will be sent a code on the Saturday morning which you will need to redeem to access the stream.

Supporters living abroad

Supporters living abroad can purchase a season live video pass for £140, which will give them access to every game the club is allowed to stream internationally during the 2020/21 season. Click here to purchase.

Please note, end of season passes purchased with CAFC Cash for the 2019/20 season have now expired and will not get you access to games for the 2020/21 season.

Should you have any questions or queries on this year’s streaming, please email [email protected].

*Please note supporters CAFC Cash has been allocated for the three home games in October at the value of three games based on their season-ticket purchase price. Supporters whose two-game value is less than the October bundle, available at £16, will have their CAFC Cash increased to allow them to access the games, unless they are U18s with an account linked to the same household as someone else with access to CAFC Cash from the games. Should supporters not use the CAFC Cash on the bundle, it will revert to the initial money owed.

International match passes have not gone on sale yet.

Nope the £16 bundle is just for Season Ticket holders by the looks of things

Almost a compromise for those who paid expecting to see all home games yet are getting an alternative along with a refund

Dont forget Non ST Holders also pay more on the gate for a standard game than a ST Holder will do so no difference to that really

If I'm gonna do that, I may aswell get a firestick with ifollow loaded onto it. I just can't be arsed with the faff of a VPN.

This is where I am getting to. I think £10 per game on top of the £6.50 a month I already pay for ValleyPass is a piss take.  £7 a game is less damaging, but ideally I would prefer to pay next to nothing. If only there was a big bad millwall fan that could help when I eventually do buy a Firestick

Jesus - VPN and firestick? I've absolutely no idea what they are. You lot make me feel old. I've only just started using Valley Pass and all worked well. Does this mean that, without knowing, I have a VPN and/or a firestick?

Haha VPN is for private browsing, means you can watch TV from another part of the world, dodgy porn or buy crack from the dark Web.

Fire stick is basically pirate TV (not blue peter)
  • Thanks!
It looks like I'm ok with just Valley Pass.
I imagine Mr Tatters would know about VPN but I don't think it's a conversation I want to have!

Using 'Charlton cash' was unintelligible to a technophobe like me and in any event they wanted £1.50 'real money' when I tried to use it anyway.

Therefore I gave up completely on it and just pay my £10 and plug a lead from a laptop into the TV. Touch wood it has worked well other than the week the sound was cocked up. At least the picture was still working.

As it was impossible to use it for me I requested a refund of my Charlton cash which eventually happened.

I am a computer illiterate old git living in the past but, as Katrien liked to mention, Charlton has a lot of them amongst the support and I don't believe I was the only person unable to cope with the ramifications of Charlton cash.

A VPN hides your location or allows you to change it to protect your web browsing, it means people can't easily hack your I.P address and get access to your computer and data. For example they can't see your payment details etc... It also allows people to access Valley Pass games for £7 instead of £10.

A Firestick is basically a way of turning your TV into a Smart TV. It can also be modified to allow you to watch all ifollow games for about £50 a year.

Supporters living abroad can purchase a match pass for Saturday's game for £10 - to match the price it costs in the UK and Ireland. Season live video passes cost £195, which will give supporters access to every game the club is allowed to stream internationally during the 2020/21 season - based on supporters being able to access 40, this averages out at less than £5 per game. Click here to purchase.

So.... The £140 season pass just became £195, but now also includes cup games?

Match by match passes for international supporters have gone up from £5 to £7 to £10. I guess it was felt that it is unfair for there to be a different price for uk and international.

Still £200 cheaper than it is for someone that doesn't live overseas.
  • Gotta feel for clubs when their income is decimated, but it’s possible to watch matches on a PC for free.
  • Tbh, with the money we'll get from the grant sale and the fact we kinda can't spent it, it would be an amazing gesture if our home games were free. If Dulwich can do it, then so can plenty of others.
  • Making this a sticky for a little while so people don't complain they didn't know the CAFC Cash and bundle deadline was lunchtime on Friday.

I don’t even think it would be amazing, should be a no brainer.

Would scrap the rewards for watching issues too.

I doubt if the Grant money is quite as suggested and in any event the club will be facing a substantial operating loss which still needs to be covered.

What might actually make money rather than lose it in a left field way is the club saying for home games that the next one is free if we lose it. I say make money because more people may buy and we shouldn't be losing too many home games from now.

Don't think it will happen though. Might be a bit too complicated to do.
  • Match Passes for abroad are now £10 to bring them in line with what fans from UK and Ireland pay

Have the EFL finally used their brains to combat VPNs?
  • Oops just posted this on the other thread. What about season passes already paid?
  • I bought the October package a couple of weeks ago . Do i have to wait for another code for the Wigan game or do i just go straight to the normal page to watch it?

You do not need another code, go to the normal page.
