Admittedly I haven’t been a regular viewer for some time now, it started to feel stale and a change is probably overdue. Get some new ex pros on there and watch the “chemistry” grow.
I don’t remember this outrage when Rodney Marsh was moved on.
I quite like Charlie Nicholas so sorry he's going. MLT was ok but Thommo had gone past his use by date.
Not being sexist here but I can't see what the 2 women mentioned bring to the party. They might be ex pro's ( careful there vicar) but that was women s football. This is the mens game we are talking about & their "observations" are no more valid than yours or mine. At least Merson etal played for the clubs they are watching/commentating on.
Been mentioned on another thread but the quality of the banter with cricket commentary is top class. I could listen to them all day even when rain/bad light stops play. So I hope they replace them with funny and reasonably articulate alternatives
Get Bumble on to do it. We'd get updates on Accrington Stanley every 5 mins.

Physically the mens game might be different but a women pro should be able to spot things that a layman might not. They still play the exact same sport.
If Sky are going down the route I think they are - which they shouldn't, because it's a move to appease people who do not watch the show - Alex Scott would be a good choice, and so too would Micah Richards. And not because they're BAME, but because they would offer objectively better insight into the game.
Of course the GOAT pundit is Pat Nevin but that won't ever happen.
Think it makes sense to put these guys out to pasture, but not all at once - amazed that Merse and his bag of Revels have survived, as well as Morrison.
Surprised at some of the praise for micah Richards. The geezer is so annoying! Spends most of his time fake laughing...VERY VERY LOUDLY at everything!!!
I find Tony Cottee quite miserable and a bit boring. Morrison is more incoherent than Merson, I like both of them but having him on with Merson would be like Dumb and Dumber in real life
Haven't really watched it for years, but when I have I've never minded Tiss, he's maybe a bit unlucky to be axed. Amazed Charlie Nicholas didn't survive with his razor sharp wit.
It'd be nice to get some insight from people who are paid to talk about the game, and most of these people stopped playing the game 20-30 years ago, so it makes sense to get a younger crowd in (even if that's not the reason, it works for me). Le Tissier has some demented beliefs, and having people like that on TV is not a good thing so that's fine too.
Morrison appeals to a crowd that isn't us. Some people identify with him because he talks like them. It's only his Palace connections I don't like, he feels harmless enough.
Sky have fucked football over from the moment they got involved.
My ideal scenario would be everyone bin sky for IPTV, and when sky go bust, ditch Lineker on BBC and gain some control back. I might even renew my TV Licence if that happened.

Really wish it was Carragher who got the boot.
