    Don't know why the English clubs even thought about the Super League, the Premier League IS the Super League. 

    Everything people criticised the Super League about is already true in the Premier League. There's a lack of competition, the 3 sides that go up usually go down 1 or 2 years later. There is zero ability to break into the top 6 without billionaire investment.

    Funny that the 'Sky Sports' opinion is now against the protests for the Super League because their precious games are getting called off now. 

    Shows that they were always just acting in their best interests rather than actually caring about football ownership or fan welfare.

    To be fair, I don’t think anyone is saying the premier league is perfect. 
    And no, one underdog winner in 30 years isn’t enough, but I don’t think anyone has said that either.
    The point is that Leicester have become a symbol of chasing dreams. It’s still too difficult for  anyone outside the big six to win and the Premier League is a massively stacked deck that disproportionally rewards the big clubs financially. 
    But the super league was something far worse. The only potentially positive thing to come out of it is that the balance of power may have slightly shifted away from those teams. But that depends on the extent of sanctions (if any) handed out, and also the extent to which the other 14 clubs are willing to put the boot in.
    (The fact that all of us poor little EFL and non league clubs are sitting, waiting, hoping that the 14 will stand up for us is yet another issue entirely - I’m not full of confidence that the “small” Premier League clubs have the future success of anyone other than themselves as their priority.)
    But at the end of the day, the 12 dickhead clubs have given the rest of football an opportunity to even things up a bit. The major players need to be brave and do something significant to punish and redress the balance in football both in England and abroad.

    Things are much stricter at the moment as well due to Covid. If fans are in a "player only area" then that area will need to be sanitised

    Typical brutish behaviour of legacy fans getting the worldwide spectacle of the Liverpool franchise verses the Manchester United Franchise called off.  There will be riots on the streets of Shanghai.  Surely more reason to ban all legacy fans from attending all games in future, ever again.

    The crew on TV here in America is saying over and over that United fans “went too far”. I have to disagree. I realize this is a minority view.

    Does anyone think the potential SL owners have learned their lesson? No chance. They regret how they rolled it out, not the idea itself. Next time they will hire a PR firm to do this, but it will happen. Unless the owners get the shit scared out of them. Peaceful protests are not going to do that. Club ownership in most of Europe is not a democracy. It’s a totalitarian regime. Peaceful protests don’t remove such regimes. 

    For me this is identical to when Roland’s building caught fire. It was only after that incident that he started to get serious about selling. This event today is not like Trump supporters storming the capital, which was an affront to democracy. Today was a protest against non-democracy. Very different.

    If this happens at all the other SL clubs (one or two times) then maybe they will think twice. Otherwise I think a SL is still inevitable. The owners will just pay off a few more groups and people to make it happen.

    It’s obviously inconvenient for the broadcasters, and they can’t really be seen to be endorsing people breaking into stadiums. But most people supported us in our protests, and it will be the same here.
