So based on the ITK contacts from Spurs, Cavani was offered to Spurs 2 weeks ago.
He was asking for £175k a week to sign.
But also wanted another £175k a week for his agent, who is his brother.
So god knows what Utd have got themselves into.
Re Vinicius.
Interesting Benfica had set a €100m release clause and were still asking for €70m for him up to two weeks ago. As soon as Benfica went out the CL Levy went in for him. Benfica have got big financial worries and were keen to do a deal to get him off their payroll.
How Levy has negotiated an option to buy over an obligation to buy is anyone's guess.
Just need an experienced CB now. Apart from that, looks like all the holes in the squad have been filled now. Can be no more excuses for Jose. But to be fair, the football since the Everton farce has been decent.
Do you think Spurs will try and get Milan Skriniar again before tomorrows deadline?
The Man U squad is top heavy with mediocre midfielders, dodgy defenders and overpaid flaky prima donnas, it lacks strikers. Ighalo the loanee rarely starts and has yet to score, I can understand their panic in wanting to sign Cavani even in a rip off deal. Their present plight is as a result of years of poor signings, bad management and too much money to waste. The thing is though, as usual, they are hanging in there

So he wants 350k a week then? He really doesn't even need to mention his brother.
Surprised at Benfica being in financial trouble. The players that them and Porto have sold over the years you'd think they'd both be well in profit.
Just in the last few years Benfica have sold Rodrigo, Joao Cancelo, Andre Gomes, Matic, Renato Sanches, Ederson, Lindelof, Nelson Semedo, Raul Jimenez, Jovic, Joao Felix and now Ruben Dias.
That's well over 400m of sales, and that's just the bigger sales. Felix alone was over 100m. Where the fuck is all their money going?
Signed a player for 35m and don't play him, Telles for 20m is a steal tbh he's a great player, and the Cavani signing is hilarious as he's about 3 years past his prime and unlike when they signed Ibrahimovic, isn't that big a draw
Agree Cavani is past his prime and probably a panic signing, but it will at least give them another option and as someone else said, he's a lot better than Ighalo.
Man Utd fans losing their shit today after signing Van de Beek for 35m, Telles for 20m and getting Cavani.
Entitled pricks. Imagine supporting us.
Yeah but if you saw them Sunday you know they need a CB at the very least. Not getting one would piss me off to be honest.
They needed a right winger and a centre back first and foremost.
So they've signed a back up centre mid, a left back, a back up striker on high wages, and two right wingers who are unlikely to be ready for the first team yet (and one isn't arriving until January).
They needed to either pay up for Sancho early or look elsewhere rather than assuming Dortmund would cave under some non-existent pressure and sell for less.

Fair, and agree on the CM. Telles was good value though and Shaw is nothing more than ok.
I don’t get their pursuit of Sancho, presume it was to appease the fans, was obvious it wasn’t happening a few weeks ago.

Could be good for them if they get him going again
How does he keep getting these big clubs lol, PSG now Munich
Bayern have also re-signed Douglas Costa on loan from Juventus. Good move for them, they nearly always seem to get decent players on loan deals.
Their whole transfer structure is just baffling there

The Glazers are screwing them and taking money out, the same as ESI did to us, they are just slower and smarter about it.
