8hrs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jesus, give the new owners a chance to create user names and email addresses to connect to the server before you write them off.
They probably don’t know where the tea and coffee are kept yet.
Take a deep breath, give them time to settle in and actually sign players first

Not even 24 hours into their ownership and somebody is already digging them out.
Edit: Beaten to it. But just to add further, this is not football manager and the transfer business, especially at our level is much more complex then just throwing money at players. Let Bowyer and Gallen do their work, although I imagine the budget they are working with is far superior to what we had under RD it is just a shame it is in the January transfer window. Plus remember the players we have coming back.

You have a point but Bowyer has said he expects 3 players. Green is one. A midfielder from Barnsley is our cash target and a PL striker loan. That won’t keep us up.

Yes it will! Add all the players we have injured and remenber how we played with everybody fit.

Have you forgotten most of our first team are due back soon?

Because our list of targets only includes those named in this thread...

My glass is mostly half full but I predict we will go into the bottom three at some point. I really hope all you optimistic posters are right that we avoid relegation but it’s going to be tight I reckon.

Imagine that performance with Williams taking players on and Cullen spraying the ball around
Then you've got the pace of Green and hopefully Taylor getting fitter and returning to his Championship level best
Of course its only a dream at the moment what with the injuries but for me its the sign we can get out of this

No, the players coming back from injury will
But we had two players coming back from injury a few weeks ago. They got re injured in training.

This! If we had played our recent run of games starting from Millwall away with half of the players we have out injured we would not be anywhere near where we are! Fact! People need to chill! We will get back to how we were!!
Cullen is probably 5 weeks away at best. 3 weeks for some of the others. Taylor lost again now for x weeks. Turning this around is not the fore gone conclusion some of you are suggesting.

Unfortunately I agree. The idea that everyone will come back and we'll suddenly have a fully fit team to pick from who will turn it around is ambitions IMHO. Players will come back in drips and drabs, with further injuries affecting the team in other areas (trying not to be a pessimist but the way we play and track record means that it's almost inevitable).
We're not going to have a fully fit and match sharp Williams, Taylor, Cullen, Bonne, JFC, etc. playing together in the same team for a while yet. (would be delighted to be proved wrong)
I fully trust Bowyer to get us through it but we do need additions to the team and so far communication from the Chairman, Bowyer and Gallen suggests that we will get them.

There's a month to strengthen the team.
Players will return ...... they will seem like new signings.
There won't always be 5 raw kids on the park at the same time.
We have the spirit to pull together. There will be other teams in the bottom half that don't.
And 20 games to turn it round. That's almost half a season.

Have faith and positivity. I'm sure Bowyer will.
But as we have seen with Taylor players come back and then get injured again. Field was ready to return and got injured again, Oztumer came back and got injured again. There’s a pattern here. If people think Green, a CM and another striker will be enough I think they will be sadly mistaken. We don’t know yet what ESI’s plans are but I doubt it includes two or three seasons trying to get out of League One.

You’re right Shooters... Bowyer should be shouting from the roof tops that he’s desperate to sign anyone he can and has a bottomless pot of money to spend. It’s the surest way to get a good deal on the players he signs.
I wonder what planet some of you lot live on sometimes.
At the end of the day they’ve not bought us for 50 or 60 million to see us in league 1. They’d be very foolish to not back Bowyer properly in the transfer window and see us stay up fairly comfortably.
In order to do that as an absolute minimum we need a further 4 signings. In an ideal world you’d be looking at more like 5 or 6. (Depending on the quality of signing of course)
It’s all well and good saying players will come back and we’ll be ok, but a large number of the injured group are injured regularly and are likely to keep breaking down.
Everything crossed that Matt and Co get things right and we’ll start picking up points quickly.
I was surprised when he left Leeds. Is my memory right that he scored 2 cracking goals against us and Johann Berg Gudmundsson got a brace in the same match against United ?

Does anyone honestly think we will be bringing in just two more players, a centre midfielder and another striker? Then to also say about the battle of relegation, and how League One would be a disaster. Sure, it would be horrendous, but it’s not going to happen.
ESI have been trying to run things for at least a week. They’re now in the driving seat, but they’ve only just managed to put their seat belt on and put their foot on the clutch ready for first gear. The engine gets started tomorrow. The real work begins tomorrow. Transfers and discussions with various people will be in motion and they’re going to ensure Bowyer has the tools to steer us to safety.
We have won only 1 game in 14 but are still 5 points and a better goal difference outside the relegation zone. Yes we had a great start and people keep saying we would be bottom without it. Sure, you’re right, but those first 6 games was when we actually had a squad of senior players. The moment the first international break came was the moment things started falling apart for us with injuries. Since we beat Derby 3-0, Williams last game for us, we have picked up 7 points. That not only shows the position the team were in when we actually had a team and squad of players, but also how poor some teams below us are, even with them picking up some decent results themselves lately. But that’s going to happen.
As I said yesterday, let’s cut the squabbling and negativity because things are now very much in hand. Let’s look at the bigger picture and know we have almost half our squad of players still to come back from injury as well as others who will be joining, and more than just two more. These young kids have been a credit to themselves and the club. They’ve kept us competitive and we have never been completely out of a game in all this time. Now it’s time that they’re going to get some help. So let’s get behind them and trust the work that will be going ahead.
I’ve heard some good snippets over the last couple of days. It’s important we leave the negativity behind and move forward together. We will be okay this season.
I can't see Mowatt forcing a move to us, seeing that we are down south AND only a few points above them in the table, it's hardly a massive step up and it's hard to see us paying him massive wages

Would be very surprised if Barnsley let him go.
