Official thread for Charlton tickets sold v Donny: SOLD OUT OF ALL THE BLOODY TICKETS.

Isn't a history of buying tickets a display of loyalty? I'm pretty critical of the club but I don't think they can be at fault here.Cambridge said:
When? Last night when only a few left surely the "normal" thing would be to have the ready due to the likely outcome this morning. Add in the faulty ticket software (see above) and yet again let down. Even the "loyalty" system isn't that - its a "points for buying on Charlton site before the game" system. Can't even express how pssd off I am. So much elation and then the club (not players etc.) get involved....golfaddick said:Don't panic. Donny will give us the extra 800 tickets.1 -
Been very interesting to see if they sell out the Jimmy Seed next week0

I can't see you'll have a problem getting one ticket at 9am, if there are 312 left now.Siv_in_Norfolk said:
I really can't tell. Seems totally ambiguous to me....and our group are still sweating on getting one more ticket so...it matters!MartinCAFC said:
That's what logic would suggest, but is that link suggesting we might not get the extra 781?Covered End said:
And if they do, they will surely send us more ?MartinCAFC said:
312 as it stands...i'd be surprised if they don't all go by 9.30am tomorrow morning.Covered End said:
There's no point giving us the extra 781 if we can't sell the original 3,001.Siv_in_Norfolk said:
So.... do we get the extra 800, and then maybe more?clive said:Rovers have placed tickets for the Sky Bet League One play-off semi-final on general sale.
Supporters wishing to purchase tickets on general sale for the first leg at the Keepmoat Stadium can now do so from the Club Doncaster Box Office.
The club are aware Charlton Athletic are close to selling out their initial allocation and the club will monitor the first day of general sales before making a decision on whether to grant the Addicks any additional tickets.
or...are they going to assess tomorrow whether we even get the extra 800?
Thanks for that!
No ticket for us as they sold out by 9.03, brother was in queue
Not your fault...but still wanted to have a dig at the general - "everyone will get one" / "calm down" that people have been coming out with
Am tense and nervous and really want a ticket!

Well they only brought 617 fans for the 2-0 defeat at the Valley in the League and 250 fans for the FA Cuppaulie8290 said:Been very interesting to see if they sell out the Jimmy Seed next week
Play-Off Semi-Final is of course a lot bigger than either but their average attendance @ the Keepmoat has only been 8,000 this season so cant imagine them bringing many more fans than what have already purchased0 -
That sounds promising.Addickted said:Charlton have the tickets.
The Doncaster ticketing system is now showing that the previously 'not for sale' east stand blocks are now showing as 'away fans' blocks.0 -
They have a regular away end, and are probably not geared towards splitting it or even allowed by the police.clb74 said:
Did Donny have to give us 3000 in the first place?killerandflash said:
It's an interesting one for Doncaster, especially as by the sound of things the EFL will get most of the extra revenue anywayForeverAddickted said:
We've a further 781 tickets but need permission from Doncaster before selling
Do they want extra Charlton fans there, increasing the away support or do they accept that if they don't they'll just buy in home areas instead?0 -
paulie8290 said:Been very interesting to see if they sell out the Jimmy Seed next week
not a chance I'd say, 2,000 absolute tops I reckon0 -
We need 1 more ticket. What's the quickest way of knowing when the allocation has been granted?

Just got back from the doctors.oohaahmortimer said:Its all become a bit too much for Covered End , where is he ?
20% arguing with the neighbour re tree surgery
25% he’s just realised he hasn’t got his own tickets so is on 6 computers and 4 phone lines now joining the queue to purchase his home and away tickets .
55% given up on Charlton fans who have taken cluelessness, laziness and stupidness to a new level in trying to purchase a ticket
pray for covered end 🙏
Apparently I'm suffering with Charltonitis.
He's told me this can go two ways.
I'll either be overcome with euphoria by the 26th May or will sink into a deep depression.
I'm back home with a cold flannel on my forehead, singing Valley Floyd Road, with a knitting needle stuck up both nostrils

10.00am update. Tickets available
North Lower 183
North Upper 31
NW Quadrant 12
Family Enclosure 141
East 92
West Lower 92
West Upper 204
Tickets currently available 755.
Still no sign of East & West Stand closed blocks opening up for sale.
15 seats remain on the coaches.
Doncaster still have 345 tickets available for the JS stand but are only selling in the first three blocks at the moment. So probably about 1,100 sold for them so far.
There are still 3,092 tickets available for them at The Keepmoat.
The first two blocks in their East Stand are marked up as away fans only.

We brought 1101 up for the league match a couple of months ago, yet could now probably shift 4 to 5 thousandForeverAddickted said:

If we had been 6th and Doncaster 3rd, maybe the roles would have been reversed1 -

Yes the loyalty system is how it should be and works perfectly tickets should first go available to fans who have been to the most games this season, don’t really understand how people can complain about it.Stu_of_Kunming said:

What’s the deal with collect at ground tickets if ordering for someone else? What will the person collecting need, just the confirmation email?0

Covered End will be explaining ticket collection at the ground, ID requirements and dress code in his next update.AFKABartram said:What’s the deal with collect at ground tickets if ordering for someone else? What will the person collecting need, just the confirmation email?11 -
Sell them anyway and when Donny ask why you did it, say Roland said it was ok to do soOllywozere said:
We've been trying to sort that for two days! We're completely at their mercy. Until they give the green light, we can't put them on sale.Cambridge said:
Own update - and couldn't have sorted with Donny WHEN they are allowed to sell them???Cambridge said:
So Charlton couldn't have a) called Doncaster yesterday and said it looks like we need those extra seats you've already offered? then b) placed a note on the website etc. stating what would happen.... OR EVEN BETTER, simply added them to the sales list for this morning. Can't wait for the Wembley sale to go as smoothly as 98, or the away to Man Utd in FA Cup in early 90's (sorry can't be bothered to look up what year that was).ForeverAddickted said:

I genuinely hate the way we gripe at each other, and yet no find myself having to explain myself to the detriment of other fans. The loyalty scheme DOES NOT reward points for attending games, it awards points for (from the official Charlton site), "providing they have purchased their tickets in advance using their Fan ID". As someone who regularly cannot commit to buying tickets for work reasons (and sometimes family reasons) I buy nearly all tickets on the day - especially away tickets. My last minute dash to Doncaster ironically being one of them this season. So I do not have the loyalty points I *should* have.follett said:

Rovers supporters wanting to attend Sunday’s Sky Bet League One play-off game will need to buy a ticket in advance with no cash gates in operation.
Tickets are now on general sale. Rovers supporters will need to have a prior purchase history or proof of a Doncaster address.

You jest, but a spanner friend told a wheelchair-bound acquaintance, who had no interest in football, he was going to Millwall's last game at The Den because going as the acquaintance's carer was the only way he could get a ticket.Showmetheway2gohome said:There’s 3 wheel chair bays left just trying to buy 3 wheel chairs on eBay6 -
So unfortunately it's down to you then, it was your choice.Cambridge said:

Let's hope the extra 781 go on sale soon.0 -
Just went on The Viking’s forum and evidently they have only sold around 600 so far......which, if true, is extremely disappointing.paulie8290 said:Been very interesting to see if they sell out the Jimmy Seed next week
As usual for the away team, they have been given the entire Jimmy Seed.....3000+.0 -
Wheelchair only tickets currently available0

How long does it take to pick up a phone and for the club to say to Doncaster we have sold all our tickets can we now please sell the extra 781!0
-
My choice? Words cannot describe...
Although I'm glad you can now see / admit that the loyalty scheme is not that, it is a "buying tickets through the website early scheme". Not the same thing at all.
My best guess for your next move will be:
a) You don't post on here enough - wonder why?
b) You're part of the RD team (had that before)
c) You're not a real fan - had that before.
I vented annoyance and frustration at the system failing, and the scheme being flawed. Where did I do it - on a fans forum. May God strike me down.......3 -
You’ll have the extra tickets by the end of the day but there won’t be any more than that.
Looking forward to the two games, but if you get a decent lead in the first half and there’s a bit of rain, don’t expect us to show much interest in getting the water off the pitch!77
