When? Last night when only a few left surely the "normal" thing would be to have the ready due to the likely outcome this morning. Add in the faulty ticket software (see above) and yet again let down. Even the "loyalty" system isn't that - its a "points for buying on Charlton site before the game" system. Can't even express how pssd off I am. So much elation and then the club (not players etc.) get involved....golfaddick said:Don't panic. Donny will give us the extra 800 tickets.

Do you think the issue may lie with you rather than the club not being able to sell tickets?23 -
Shouldn't be a problem, they initially agreed to it so I see no reason why they would go back on the agreement.ForeverAddickted said:

Only real issue is they aren't going to want a third of the ground being Charlton supporters. But that's what was agreed and they know we will sell them, might as well say, 'Yes, go ahead and put them on sale'.1 -
So Charlton couldn't have a) called Doncaster yesterday and said it looks like we need those extra seats you've already offered? then b) placed a note on the website etc. stating what would happen.... OR EVEN BETTER, simply added them to the sales list for this morning. Can't wait for the Wembley sale to go as smoothly as 98, or the away to Man Utd in FA Cup in early 90's (sorry can't be bothered to look up what year that was).ForeverAddickted said:

We've been trying to sort that for two days! We're completely at their mercy. Until they give the green light, we can't put them on sale.Cambridge said:

Given the same computer purchased the home tickets I would say the chances of the error are not with me, no.Addickforlife said:

But expected as much from you and a few others tbh.0 -
Same here. Separate envelopes as I bought them in 2 different transactions!letthegoodtimesroll said:

We qualified to buy ours earlier than you but i suspect tickets were not posted out before Tuesday, given Monday was a bank holiday0 -
I don't think the club will be getting the tickets in a physical sense. I bought last night but am obliged to collect from the Keepmoat, although I would rather go to the Valley and collect there.
The stress is now about the coaches arriving in Doncaster in time to deal with the ticket for collection queue.0 -
Loyalty system is the fairest it's ever been and still people are moaning. The number of tickets the club has shifted in the last few days is incredible, a surge surely no one realistically expected.
Credit to the online system and everyone in the ticket office.19 -
There is no guarantee that I would get two of the 781 extra tickets, so I have bought two in the Doncaster East Stand, just by the dugouts. No way I was missing out on this game!

A bit much chewing the club out when you can’t even sort yourself.Cambridge said:

Fairest and most efficient ticket sales we have ever had. Well done the club.9 -
ah, sell them anyway and see what happens on Sunday.Ollywozere said:

It's an interesting one for Doncaster, especially as by the sound of things the EFL will get most of the extra revenue anywayForeverAddickted said:

Do they want extra Charlton fans there, increasing the away support or do they accept that if they don't they'll just buy in home areas instead?0 -

@Ollywozere - I've always liked you. Message me...

Seems a bit risky that they've got no precautions in place to stop Charlton fans from buying in the home endskillerandflash said:

Cant see anything on their website that says restricted sale now etc.0 -
So by the looks of it even getting one of the next 800 is going to be tough.
Jesus Christ what is happening, Charlton away tickets going like hot cakes8 -
Given the time the coaches are leaving you should be there in time to pick up your tickets and wander into town, have a 3 course meal, and still have the pick of the seats.seth plum said:I don't think the club will be getting the tickets in a physical sense. The initial away allocation of 3,001 for our away tie against Doncaster Rovers on Sunday sold out minutes after going on general sale this morning.
Charlton are in possession of an extra allocation of 781 tickets but are waiting for permission from Doncaster before the additional tickets can go on sale.
An additional coach for away supporters has been put on by the club and fans can still purchase a place on the coach online or by calling 03432081496.
Tickets remain on general sale for our home League One play-off semi-final tie against Doncaster at The Valley on Friday and can be purchased online or by calling 03432081496.

It is my fault, I have been buying tickets for my brother, son and I through the season without allocating to them. Would have been more sensible if my brother had bought his separately but I didn't expect the need. I can't complain and it is great there is a need after all the crap we have had to put up with. The enjoyment over the next few weeks may be fleeting, but I am determined to make the most of it. Doncaster hopefully will release those extra tickets anyway. Decent of them to give us 3k so no complaints about them either.4

we are sweating on one more....if anybody has a spare already.....

Charlton have the tickets.
The Doncaster ticketing system is now showing that the previously 'not for sale' east stand blocks are now showing as 'away fans' blocks.

I need to go to the loo - ok, I'm back.
