  • Ruben Neves got booked at the weekend despite not conceding a single foul.
  • We got £2,000,000 for Bonne.
  • Shane Long made his 150th appearance in the Premier League as a sub tonight. In his career to date in all comps he has started 312 matches and been a used sub in another 226. There really can't be many players in English football to have been utilised in that way can there?

I believe he has made the 4th most appearances from the substitutes bench (Premier League) - behind Defoe, Crouch and Milner. Milner was the first person that sprung to mind when I saw your comment, mainly because he hasn't been a regular for Liverpool and City like he was at Newcastle and Villa beforehand.

Carlton Cole was another one I thought of. He made 290 Premier League appearances with 129 of them as a sub. Walcott has made around 350 with 126 as a sub.
  • Solskjaer made 150 sub appearances out of 366 games for United.
  • Solskjaer made 150 sub appearances out of 366 games for United.
Not a lot between the two of them but Long still king of substitute appearances:

    Solskjaer - 150/366 = 40.98%
    Long - 226/538 = 42.01%

  • Ryan Fraser hasn't been on the winning side in domestic football in his last 20 appearances. He has also only been on the winning side in 6 of his last 51 Premier League games for Bournemouth and Newcastle.

Let’s hope he his run confines for the rest of the season.

Divock Origi is 35/90 (38.89%) for Liverpool but doesn't have the body of work that Solskjaer and Long have yet.

Gareth Bale didn’t win in any of his first 24 league games for Spurs and his career managed to recover. Ryan Fraser did a ‘Lyle Taylor’  on his Bournemouth contract so **** him

Long, it appears, isn't just a record holder for sub appearances:

Also holds the record for the fastest premier league goal in 7.69 Secs.
  • Wolf from Gladiators played for Gillingham (reserves):

  • On 3rd November Blackburn lost 7-0 at home to Fulham. At that time they were 11 points behind Fulham and 14 points behind the then top team, Bournemouth. Just seven games later, they are now two points behind Fulham and one behind Bournemouth.

That just goes to show how, in a short period of time, things can turn around and gives us some hope that, with still half the season to go, we can make the play offs.
  • Fulham and Bournemouth still being the top 2 after such poor runs of form shows how well they were doing - strange how it's turned so quickly for both.

All the focus has been on Mitrovic this season having already scored 22-goals

But Ben Brereton Diaz has 19-goals for the season for Blackburn

Those two have taken goal scoring to another level this season in the Championship.

He has scored 1 less goal in half a season than he managed in the previous 5

That's what happens when you add Diaz to your name.  Connor Washington Diaz would be a 30 goal a season striker...
Reminds of that website that would tell you your Brazilian football name

Strong rumours he's going to Brighton in January. Leeds are also interested.

Question for Blackburn is do you hold off and try to get promotion, or effectively kill your hopes by selling him.

Seeing he's not English now, does that mean the transfer fee will be slightly lower? ;)

Tony Mowbray quoted 'we shouldn't be selling him to teams like Brighton/Leeds'.

Ian Wright made 315 top flight appearances.
    Shaun Wright-Phillips made 316.
  • One I didn't know before - Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a brother of Carl Cort and Leon Cort.
  • Also, Leon Cort is (I think) one of 5 players to have:

    - Played for Charlton
    - Played in the Premier League
    - Had a brother/brothers who played in the Premier League.

Can anyone name the other 4?

Bradley (Shaun) Wright-Phillips as mentioned above has to be one
