    So Essex have Lancashire away in the T20 Blast quarter finals this Wednesday.
    The game can’t be played at Old Trafford because of The Ashes starting there that day , so it’s been moved to just the odd 144 miles and 2hrs and 20 mins away at Chester-le-Street , Durham’s ground !

    Didn't even check the Essex Kent result until just now as I didn't expect us to qualify, talk about sneaking in through the back door! We made it hard for ourselves. Hopefully a "neutral" venue gives us a chance

    As a neutral I'm hoping for a classic final game for the title. Sadly I think the weather will intervene, which will be great for Essex but a shame for everyone else

    Unbelievable that Essex have only lost one County Championship match so far this year -  the first game of the season, where they got their arse handed to them on a plate and lost by an innings and 87 runs.
