However, I did predict a loss on the preview thread saying with no strikers we'll score no goals. Hackett Fairchild will never make it in league football & our midfield is so powder puff without Aribo we could play until next week and not score. 1 shot on target in 100 mins of play is appalling. Looking at the table I'd say it's 6 out of 7 (at a push 8 if you include Blackpool) so even with this non scoring team we should have a good shout at the play-offs. Autos between Luton, Sunderland & Barnsley.
And Pratley will be CH next week not Beliek.

Turn it in, he's 21 and i imagine it's every young English footballers dream to play in the premier league. It's hardly money grabbing to further your career by playing at a higher level.

He's 21 ffs.....not 31 !! It wasn't his last chance of a "payday" & in 5 months time he would have been out of contract & free to sign for any team of his choosing. Yes, most likely a Championship side but that's where he will be plying his trade next season...if he's lucky. He will get a dozen games at most in The Premiership & like today won't get much game time & certainly won't see too much of the ball. And again....he's joined Huddersfield. Not the most glamourous of clubs or places & certainly miles from home. If I was his agent I would have told him to look at the bigger picture. If he got us promoted then he'd still be in The Chsmpionshop anyway.....if not then he could leave on the summer with his head held high. Why do you think players like Scott Parker & Jetmain Defoe get pelters on her & others like Gomez get lauded. Yeah great...4 x increase in salary is wonderful but he'd still be doing alright at Rangers or most other Championship sides. He has still got 15 years ahead of him....plenty of time to earn some wonga if that his is motivation....because he didn't move for footballing reasons that's for sure.
He's left a basket case of a league one club run by an owner who doesn't give a shit and has about 70% of it's squad out of contract in 6 months time to join a stable and well run club, how can you say it's not for footballing reasons?

I was not at the game but it is obvious from comments by people who were that were disjointed and too easily nullified.It is what it is,our transfer window was as usual uninspiring and we are a weaker team than we were two weeks ago.Bowyer has now got to find a system that is effective without Grant,this is a situation that has been thrust upon him totally out of the blue.(prior to the initial reports about Rangers being interested I dont think I was alone in not even considering he would be gone in the blink of an eye).I can only say,the players are not responsible for this situation and we should get behind the team even more against Blackpool.
Lovely beer in Strawberry Gardens, quite disinterested in game as we were never under threat nor threatening apart from double chance in front of us first half. Then we made a mistake born out of sloppy predictable pissing about at the back. Object of the away support’s ‘wit’ scored. My mind went back to Ralph Milne. Nothing else happened.
That was awful. Worst performance of the season. The ridiculous mid season transfer window has done us. That and Taylor's red card. Back to the drawing board for Bowyer. I'm not sure where we go from here.
The pitch was bad and also seemed small (was it?). Everything seemed so cramped out there. We couldn't find any space to move. The worst performance of the season by a long chalk. Call it Robinson-isque. I feel for the fans who went all the way up there.

That was a real lame performance , summed up by Purringtons pathetic chipped cross straight in to the keepers arms at the end when a drilled low and hard cross was what was required .
Vetokele (please no one spell it Ventokele ) looked quite lively when he came on .
Philips done well apart from one horrendous mix up that led to a good chance being missed by Evans who looked a class above .
I dread to think of the difference in wage bills of our final 11 (before the BFG was sent off) on the pitch and fleetwoods .
it's a shit league so play offs should still be made but i'm not asconvinced about promotion as i was a month ago .

When you see it coming, it always makes you angrier. To be fair, I am mostly angry with Roland for obvious reasons but a bit with Bowyer. We were told we had five or six options so don't leave it to the last day, take the option that you can with a day of the window to go. Might not be perfect, but better than missing out! Also, when you look at the goal to game ratios of the players on the pitch, try to improve that. I know it isn't easy or perfect, but Fosu should have been on 5 minutes before the goal at least.
BTW - If Hacket Fairchild is the answer, you are asking the wrong question. Positives. I thought Parker didn't look too bad. nothing special but went in the right direction. Whilst clearly not fully fit, Vetokele looked trim. We need to get him to full fitness quickly and maybe something can be salvaged. Please Bowyer - play Fosu. We have too many blank firers and he is somebody who can potentially score goals. Get Aribo and Fosu in the side and pick your defensive midfielders around them reasonably quickly and it isn't all over!
With everyone fit I'd go for a midfield with one of Cullen or Bielik at the base, Williams and Aribo as the middle two and Fosu at the tip of the diamond. That gives the good balance between defensive cover, creativity and goalscorers.
Cullen and Bielik are both very good but we don't need two defensive midfielders.
Aribo is our only goalscoring midfielder this season, he has to be there.
Williams isn't a goalscorer but he'll create chances if we have pace and goalscorers elsewhere in the team.
Fosu's not having a great season but he has goals in him and adds pace to that midfield.
On RHF he might not make an impact with us but it's too early to write him off. Target men/hold up strikers often develop later on in their career. Yann and Taylor being obvious examples.

From Dillon conversing with supporters about why everything was being passed out and across the back four, inviting pressure and mistakes to Mark Marshall threatening to jump the barrier and whack a barracking fan, we seemed light years from the team that rolled Shrewsbury over just a few weeks ago.
Make no mistake, Fleetwood were there for the taking until they realised we were no threat and started to play themselves into it.
Positives? Nice friendly place, with the sun in our eyes they even let us move from the seats to the terrace so at least we could see how bad we were, another ground ticked off and the return or Roland Out & Just Sell the Club being sung.
Its clear our squad has been weakened this window, the supporters knew and the team and management knew it, but as our gaffer keeps saying 'it is what it is' and will be until Duchatalet has gone, untill then, the cycle of disappointment will continue

Bilieck, Cullen, and Lapslie are all defensively minded and I think that this unbalanced. This maybe partly resolved if Bilieck plays centre half next week.
We only need one at the defensive point. Reeves is actually quite good at tracking back on the left. Lapslie\Marshall right, and Williams at the point.
The two up front is more difficult. Vetokele and Parker for me at the moment because of their experience. Plan B when they tier?, no bloody idea. Fosu and Reeco? Not great if we are chasing. But only one match to go before we get Taylor back.

They were totally on the back foot prior to us even kicking a ball.
Now...
Transfer window updated, all teams around us added to their squads, especially Luton.
We did not, psychologically we have lost ground immediately, especially to our opponents, which is the main point.
