Oh that's horrible. I recall having a massive crush on him when I was a teenager, and can still picture listening to the Blackburn cup game and getting wildly overexcited when he scored. Gone far too young. RIP Darren.0

So very sad he was so young a tragic loss. One of my favourite Charlton memories was being at Ewood Park for the cup game when against all odds we beat the Champions thanks to Darren's goal!. RIP Darren my thoughts are with your family.1

Absolutely awful news. Really good player, immortalised in the Brian Moore commentary on that great day in 1992.

I Must have been about 10/11 when he was breaking through and had the ‘Darren Ditcher’ article on my wall after his Blackburn goal. Always thought he was one of those players who made the most of his ability and gave 100% - loved a tackle.
