One of the big rules of being as rich as he is, surely, is not to let this sort of stuff get personal?! You lose money, then sell cheap and let it become "someone else's problem". You're not getting money back you deluded freak, so just get rid of what you perceive to be a sinking asset.

I think that's not as far from the truth as some might think. Because he hasn't been involved on a day to day basis be has put a lot of trust in people to run the club and tell him what's going on. KM and RM, possibly others, have told him what he wants to hear, while covering their own back sides.

There are a lot of adjectives thrown round on here about him being nasty, vindictive, evil etc. I think it's more a case of missed placed trust and not having/taking the time to find out the truth.

Perhaps he could have communicated the benefits of letting Riga go, hiring Peeters then giving Fraeye the job and we would have all understood.
Perhaps he could have revealed the financial nous of letting world class youngsters go for pennies.
Perhaps he could have revealed the master plan of letting Meire remain as CEO even though the fans absolutely despised her.
