Also bowyer you crown and anchor.
Of the 80 grounds I've been to I've never done Preston away.
  • Great memories of Preston away in 2012. Superb day. Already celebrating being champions the week before. A very loud and fun away end that day.
  • Solihull or Blackpool v Arsenal
  • Lowest ranked team through, Woking home to Watford

I always wanted to face Preston as a youngster as I lived down a Preston Drive - Oh well another time perhaps
  • an english football tradition 3rd round FA Cup draw.Except if your CAFC who dont give a rat's shit about it
  • Some great lower/non league v premier league ties there............so the schedulers will be working out how they can squeeze Man Utd v Reading in as one of the live games.
  • Woking v Watford
    Tranmere/Southport v Spurs
Solihull/Blackpool v Arsenal will surely be 3 of the live games.

Wolves v Liverpool as well i guess.

Do leave off, everyone was up for the great FA Cup adventure.
We'd have taken 70 coaches, a chartered train, possibly a plane to Manchester, plus thousands in their cars.
Bowyer, you've got a lot to answer for, planning for promotion.

    I'd have a bet it's nearer my 500 than your 12000
  • Oh no, T'Barnsley?

Would of broken the boycott for that one...
  • Well we will never know will we.

I don’t think anyone has said that they would rather have a cup run than promotion.

Those upset absolutely the disrespect shown for the Fa cup vary in whether they would have put out a full strength team or have some first team options on the bench.

Me, I probably wouldn’t have started with a full league 1 first team but I would have had Taylor and grant on the bench and thought about bringing them in for the last 25 minutes. Think most of the attendees would have been happy with that level of commitment as notional as it may have been.

I don’t know whether the first teamers really have potential niggly injuries they are carrying or what they all picked up in training and it was clearly flagged we weren’t expecting to put out the first team.

Starting 11 not a big surprise to me. I wouldn’t have gone but my son wanted to and he was disappointed with the team, the bench and the performance.

Never a good feeling to watch your team play poorly in front of a non existent crowd with no stands open and no atmosphere. There is no doubt about it, it sucked and next year without a change in owner/squad/league I’d be surprised if even 3,000 turned up for a similar fixture.

    Which is a shame.

Turns out it was Preston. Close enough.

    Is there a difference?

Lol, say that to a Yorkshireman and best of luck

True. And I got to visit the British Commercial Vehicle Museum in Leyland too
  • Some decent ties there for many of the smaller teams.

Arsenal and Spurs both potentially facing non league opposition, Lincoln getting a great tie at Everton, Wrexham or Newport hosting Leicester, Rotherham going to Man City, Oldham going to Fulham, West Ham vs Birmingham (good for police overtime)
